Please add me to the list. I filed my I-130 on Jan 7. I got NOA1 on Feb, 6, and was in the computer system on Feb 24. I filed my 129F for the the K-3 on Feb 11 but it was rejected due to an error I resubmitted it on Mar 4.

any ideas? i just don't know what to do at this point...

Cheers for small steps, got email notification of NOA1 for the 129-f part of my petition today. So we are waiting on NOA2 for both now. Any thoughts on how long its going to be, the processing times on USCIS site say they are on AUG 15th but the predicted time of NOA1 to NOA2 for VSC is 50 days on this site?

Received the NOA1 for the K-3 129f in today's mail. Notice date listed is March 3, 2008. The VSC sent the I129f NOA1 the same day it was received. This was much faster than the I130. If any VSC employees are reading these forums,,Thank You!!

I have a spreadsheet that I have been keeping to track I-130 approvals. I average the dates at the bottom. It does not include I-129s, so keep that in mind. You can find a link to the sheet in my blog (link in my signature). I think us January filers have a while to wait.

OK guys ..... there's 2 November I-130 filers so far that I've found who got approval !!!
They were both through Vermont.
1 filer sent their I-130 on November 20th, and actually was approved in February. The other November filer sent theirs on November 2nd and was approved on March 6th.

I think from this we can safely presume at this time that there is no 'first come, first approved' as there's still a shedload of September/October filers still waiting for approval .... however, at least it proves there's movement on the approvals, albeit a trickle.
I really feel there's going to be some of us getting approval in next few weeks
Keep the faith guys ..... let's keep up with the group hope .... the time for January approvals to trickle in is soon going to be imminent.

On that thought .... have any of you started to look at the next stages of paperwork ?? In preparation.
I have, and the DS-230 part 1 is horrible for those who've travelled to the US many times and haven't kept a list of all of their trips over the years .... I've got to compile a list starting from nearly 30 years ago! and have no idea of exact dates etc. at this time ....

If you've travelled to the US extensively, I'd start gathering the information ASAP ..... you're going to need it, and you don't want to be panicking and trying to get it all together when the paperwork is due.

I'm off to the doctor today to start getting my innoculations up to date. If yours are dubious, get them sorted now, as if you need EVERYTHING on the innoculation list, it may delay you when the time comes. Or cost you a fortune at the medical, plus a poorly arm and a sad face to go with your empty wallet.

OMG! A touch!!!I hope it means something!By the way, we sent I-129F on feb. 18th and it was received at VSC on 19th but we haven't received NOA1 yet.Is that normal?

I sent mine on FEB 23, it was received there on FEB 26 at the CSC,,no reply yet!!!

i called them and they said it might take 30 days,,they said i should call if i did not receive any reply within the 30 days!

A touch is fabuous .... it could be because they were pairing your I-129F to your I-130 .... but a touch is a touch .... it proves that 'something' has happened, and your paperwork hasn't just been chucked into a dusty old cupboard .... I'm pleased to see some activity at Vermont

I can't believe it....my company has just offered me to go to either NYC or Chicago for a short term assignment (3-6 months). If everything goes well, I will in the states in May!!!

Hubby and I are very excited at the moment, we have been planning our weekend visit already! But then, it is still in the pipeline at the moment!!!!!!

How do you know if a case has been 'touched'?

Are you able to check your case status online? If you do, check the latest update date...if it changed, that means your case has been "touched"

Thanks guys! Like I said, it is still in the pipeline. Just praying everything will go well. Don't wanna be over excited...hopefully I will know the outcome by Monday. Boss has been asking me if it is OK if they pull me out now (I have a team of 12 people) and I said the team will do fine without me .

So, what are you guys doing while waiting for the NOA2? I am in the midst of documenting my medical records and also the police record. Does any of you know where to translate birth certificate to English as mine is in Bahasa Malaysia (native language of Malaysia)? But I also read somewhere that they need our birth cert in its original language too. Trying to get everything prepared and don't want to do everything last minute!

I believe they just placed your I-130 with the I-129F. Hope it is a good thing

I'm getting my I-129F together now, hopefully I haven't wasted too much time. wish i had just sent it after NOA1.

Good news people...a couple got their I-130 approved in 5 months. The I-130 was sent in October 2007, NOA1 in January and approval in March!!!!

I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel!!!

And the beneficiary is from Malaysia, not sure how that will make a difference though.

I hope the process will be a breeze for us!

How many January peeps have been touched? I have had no touches since my app was placed in the system, hope I'm not alone. If I'm going to get an RFE for my name issue or the wrong size passport photo I sure hope it's within the next 2 months or I won't be here to deal with it... It would be especially frustrating if it were for my name issue since the only way I could fix it would be to go to the government office in KTM with my name change court order and beg them to change my name on the marriage certificate - there's nothing I can do about it here.

Neither of us get any touch since NOA1.
I see someone whose K3 filed in Jan.08 got approved today.
Maybe K3 is better.

No touches here either ..... I've actually given up looking at the website. Vermont will happen, when it's supposed to. The 2 Novembers filer approvals gave me a bit of hope .... and my instincts keep shouting at me saying I should be getting on with my preparations to leave the U.K. .... I really don't think January filers will be long.

An RFE Pattu Rani? .....don't even think about somethink like that ..... just imagine everything is wonderful and that they'll approve it 'whatever' .... however, when you visit your SO, try and get the stuff prepared anyway.

Our I-129F got touched at least twice....14th and 16th of this month. I donno if it was touched prior to that, as I did not know what that meant. heeheee
