Hi everyone !!! To those beneficiaries who are on Medical field ( Nurse, Doctor etc.) , be prepared for possible questions from the pre screener or the consul on your profession. They would usually go into details about this like, what they asked me. Since I am a Registered nurse by profession, the consul asked me if I am aware that nurses are in demand in the US and if it is just my intention to enter America. I was quick to reply that i've been a Nurse for 17 yrs and had been to the US before and that it is not just my cup of tea to use other people just to land a job in America. I also answered the consul politely that ....as a matter of fact, my first priority at the moment is to spend more time with my fiancee and it is our dream to have a child inspite of our age. Look at them straight into the eye so they would know that you are sincere with what you are saying. I hope this would help you guys. Goodluck

Thanks for bringing up this topic pink tulips!
I'm a Pharmacist and I worked sa isang hospital as a clinical pharmacist...
I was denied 2x for a tourist visa to take the pharmacy exam in california...
I'm sure this woud be an issue during my interview....

Yikes! I'm a doctor ad i didn't think this will be an issue. My plan was to build my patient base here but that was before I met Dave. Syempre ngayon, I want to take the USMLEs so i can be a doc in the US. But of course that's not our priority din. We want to enjoy each other's compan muna bago ako bumalik sa mga duties. Buti na lang you shared this. Have to be prepared when my time comes. Thanks po! smile.gif

I didn't have problems with my pre-screener and the Consul. I am a Doctor (Internist) and also a registered nurse. My husband was with me during my interview and they did not ask anything about my profession. My Immigrant Data Summary (with the visa packet) states there that I'm a Physician by occupation but no one asked about it, well, except at SLEC.

At POE when the Immigrant Officer saw my profession, she was happy and excited for me. She's Pinay and a nurse also in the Philippines.

Good Luck to everyone!
