i would like to start yet another anxiety thread - on DHL performance.

now i understand why embassy would receive cases 15 days after the NVC sent the docs. it's because of DHL!!!!!


our case has been sent by NVC on Jan 04, and the package is still today in - Miami!!!!!!!! it has been there since monday......WHY??????? we are not subject to customs...are they compiling packages for embassies? what is going on???????????? arrrgghhhhh

Fedex takes 3 bus days to express deliver the mail sent from USA to residential addie in Brazil

please move on, DHL...we need to get to the interview....

I think our petition shipped out on the same DHL as yours. NVC told me that it went out on 1/4, but DHL didn't pick it up until 1/7.

This morning the automatic DHL update said it arrived in Rio today, 3 days later.

I think everything is ok?

Probably but you will never really know what day your case file left NVC. NVC tells you the date they approved it to be sent and changed a flag in the database but they don't track it through their mail room to know when it actually departed.

how do u guys track ur packages does NVC gives u package number or what to type in DHL website to track my package...

please let me know this so can track mine...

yes, dhl picked up on 7th! i did not see the delivery note, but ok...it's logical that it arrived, finally!

Yes, I used rouguewave's method. But as pushbrk, stated we do not really know when they ship. I am working on assumptions and information that I received from NVC (they said mine was sent on Jan 4). Using that date in conjuction with roguewave's post on tracking DHL, I filled in the gaps and generated the spreadsheet that another VJ'r discussed in rouguewave's post. To my surprise, that spreadsheet nailed down the sequential order of all the NVC by DHL shipments. It was an information jackpot. Since there was only one shipment to Rio after Jan 4 (and no other Rio shipments since then), I am hopeful that mine was one of them.

i am sure that the diplomatic package sent on jan 04 contained our cases , what else it would contain? the sender was nvc.

i got the letter from nvc today too, confirming that the case was sent then and that it will take a week for embassy to receive it.
