Thanks for your support! I actually went to the doctor yesterday and he was pleased with my progress! I have lost 14lbs since 9/10 and he up graded me to eat some soft foods! Whoohoo!!!! I had 3ozs. of mashed potatoes and 4ozs. of a fat free/sugar free yogurt! It was so good to eat something! So as of now I have officially lost 45lbs. since mid July(I was on a high protein liquid diet for 2 months prior to surgery and lost the other 30 some pounds). I go back to the doctor in a month and I return back to work on Oct. 1. So things are going well, thank God... Thanks for asking and keep the faith Wendy, your time will come for your love to be with you. Just take 1 day at a time and try to talk to him everyday if you can, that helps. And Awaterlily, your baby is absolutely gorgeous! You are so blessed to have a little angel!

Wow Deb. 45 lbs. I am so happy for you. In another week, you will be back to work. That is really great. Continued success!!! Thanks for the good thoughts too Deb. Even though I am sad we are still apart, I am glad for the extra time. I too would like to lose some weight before I see him again.

Awaterlily, your daughter is so precious!! What a beauty!! We have a little orchard by us, and one day we picked some peaches and made peach pie. It was fun. I love apple pie too. I am glad you are enjoying this end of summer weather. It is such a nice time of year (except for the allergies), but I am really enjoying the sunshine. Maybe we will plan some day trips too. I think my sister wants to go to one of those corn mazes next week. I just hope the temp. haven't climbed back up by that time!!

Wendy - I haven't had a peach pie in forever. Sounds wonderful. BTW..have you ever checked out www.allrecipes.com? I love cooking/baking and I love that website for finding new recipes and inspiration. I have so many apples even baking pies won't put a dent in my supply. LOL I guess I'll be baking lots of yummies for friends ;-)

Oh Deb, so sorry you have to return to work on Monday. I am so glad everything continues to go well for you though. I am fine, thanks for asking.

I live 20 min. from Valley Forge, PA. It is a great location. Only 60 min. from Philadelphia in one direction and 60 min to Hershey (yum chocolate) in the other.

What college did you attend in PA?

Oh, you are in a great location! Hershey's! Yum! I went to Slippery Rock Univ., 45 min. north of Pittsburgh, so that's all the way on the western side of PA. No where near you... But I love PA. I hope to take Resul one weekend to Amish country, Lancaster area this fall. It's so beautiful there and he loves farmland and animals. Have a good day Wendy!

Yes, I know of Slippery Rock. My sister, mother and niece and I went to Pittsburg over the Labor day weekend. I love Pittsburg!! The view from the incline is amazing!!!

I only live 30 min. from Lancaster. When you and Resul visit the area drop me a line, maybe we could meet for lunch.

Hi Everyone!!!

Sorry I didn't get a chance until now to post here since I have been busy working too much as of lately and being in the retail business and all I will not get a chance to even breathe until the end of January!!!

Well my husband Coskun is finally home now and working on getting his old job back at the bank, he definitely needs to start working soon! He also got his driver's permit as soon as he got back from Turkey and is now busy working on getting his license so that he can buy his car as soon as possible!

Anyway I will try to come here whenever possible to say hello to everyone and hope everyone is doing well. Good Luck to all those still waiting for their visa process.

It is nice to come and read how everyone is doing, changes taking place and so on and keeping this forum alive.

Nothing new to report on our side. We will file to "Remove Conditions" on the 5th of next month. Our packet of paperwork is about an inch thick. I might have gone overboard with proof but now days it seems ......well, I won’t say it.

How is everyone else with this "Remove Conditions" process going?

Betty and Seyhan are just ahead of us if I remember right....Betty, any news to share?

Mina, I think you guys got the 10 year green card already the first round...correct?

Seems most of the old timers don’t come around any more ;-( I have the original list when I first started the K1 forum; I should post it here to bring back some smiles. There were more of us.

Time sure comes and goes quickly now days......my oldest daughter just got her drivers license ;-( and in another years time she will be off to college.

I will try to write more and keep you posted on our process. If you have any questions on this process please feel free to ask. ;-) I think I will post my cover letter with all my documentation supporting it for those of you who will be filing this also.

Deb - how exciting to hear about your upcoming removal of conditions process! GL! I'm interested in hearing about your experience as we'll be doing the same at the end of the year. What do you suggest using for supporting evidence?

BTW, I found this reference on the USCIS website:

Joint Petition . A Form I-751 being filed as a joint petition shall be accompanied by evidence that the marriage was not entered into for the purpose of evading the immigration laws of the U.S. Such evidence may include:


• Documentation showing joint ownership of property;

• Lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence;

• Documentation showing commingling of financial resources;

• Birth certificates of children born to the marriage;

• Affidavits of third parties having knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship ( Note: the affiant must be available to appear at the joint petitioners’ interview if required); or

• Other documentation establishing that the marriage was not entered into in order to evade the immigration laws of the U.S.

Well this is what I have and will be sending...I made a post in the correct forum "Remove Conditions" with the same info but have not received any negitive info as this was not enough documentation......Sooo ;-) I guess I am going with it. I didnt feel we needed letters from friends or family as we have more than enough other doc's. Total of about 100 pages ;-)

As always I will keep everyone updated as we go thru another round of immigration.

Hi Everyone,

I am so happy to hear of everyone's progress!!

I have some news, I am going to Turkey at the end of December. I was going to wait to hear something on the waiver we filed before my next visit, but it will have been over a year since we have seen each other and it is just too long!!!

I leave on December 28 and will fly back on January 13. I wish it could be for longer, but I will take what I can get. Even though our relationship has been for 2 1/2 years, it will be our first New Year's together. I am so excited!! I hope and pray that everything goes well.

Sorry I have not been able to be here much, been very busy with work especially now because of the holidays! Hope Everyone here has been doing well.

Since my husband has been back we have been busy getting him settle again and planning ahead for our future. First he got his old job back at the bank and then he got his driver's license and soon we will be looking into buying a new car, he really needs one to get around and for his work.

Soon after the holidays are over I will start to work part-time (as requested by hubby) because I have been too tired as of lately and he has been noticing this whenever I got home and said I needed a break, what a darling husband!

Debra, glad to hear your husband is in the process of his "Removal of Conditions", Good Luck to you both with that and hope you hear something soon.

Awaterlily, soon you will be doing the same and Good Luck to you too.

Wendy, you're finally going to Turkey! I am happy for you to be going too, you and Yilmaz have been separated too long already and need to be together soon!

I'm sorry to say that I have not been getting notices when someone posts on this thread up until today! I see I missed a lot and I hope none of you think I was being rude and not answering your posts... But I'm glad I finally got a notice to check out todays posts because I never have time to come on here unless I get a notice of a new post! So hopefully I will start getting them again.

Anyway... To catch you all up I have been doing ok since surgery. To date I have lost 77lbs. (31lbs. prior to surgery in Sept.). It's a new part time job for me trying to make my new stomach happy! It's very frustrating trying to figure out what to eat, what will sit well, and trying to get all the protein in that I need in a day. I am often not feeling too well with neausea and vomiting. Everyone who has had this surgery and is past the 1 year anniversary ensures me that it will get better in time... Hurry up time!!! But I can't complain, it could be much worse...

Resul finally got his driving permit in late Oct. and has a 12/28 date for his driving test! I can't believe that they make you wait 3 months before you can take the road test. He's not happy with his job, he was hired PT but getting FT hours and over the last month they have cut his hours to 20 or less which is not good. Unfortunately he has to stay with it until he gets his driver's license and can go look for a new FT job. Right now he can at least walk to this job in 10 minutes. But fortunately his hours are back up right now due to the holidays.

Other than that we are doing great!

Wendy I was so happy to hear that you will go to Turkey in a few weeks to see your honey! Hooray for you! It's going to be such a wonderful reunion for the both of you! Have a fabulous trip and savor every moment!

Awaterlilly! Your daughter is getting so big and more beautiful everytime I see your new avatar pic! You are so blessed!

Good luck on your new journey of lifting conditions Debra! I hope you hear something this week and your file is transfered to CA like you wished for! Keep us posted.

And Mina I know you are soooooooo busy right now in retail! I 've been there and done that years ago and I feel your pain! Keep your chin up and see that carrot dangeling before you to go PT after the holidays! Lucky girl you! Glad to hear your hubby got his old job back and is driving! Hooray!
