Thanks for the efforts I don't think there's a need to have two separate threads.

Thats fine. I am still going to track mine here and anyone else who wants it. That way we can see the trend for the entire process in one place. This is after all still tracking a specific group.

sometimes i think that i should have kept my money and not hired a lawyer for the prices that they want and do it myself... hopefully we will all here something good..

there are a lot of us who are doing this on our own, without the lawyer, which is why there are so many threads on how to process the different forms and where to send them etc... check out some of them, especially in the wiki part of the forum, there is a lot of valuable info!

Martiniolive, when did the NVC receive your case? Also don't forget to update your timeline. :)

NVC rec'd about 4/30. I have a question I emailed the NVC about it but no responce yet. Question is: I submitted a notorized AOS doc #I-134 with my I-130 visa packet in Dec 07. After paying the AOS fee online and printing out the barcode, I noticed the NVC site says not to fill out or submit any forms until contacted (so I am waiting to be contacted by them I suppose) and it reads that the I-134 form is no longer valid. I am understanding this to mean I just hang on to the barcode cover sheet until the NVC contacts me to tell me which form I need to use for AOS? Or am I missing something???

For CR-1 / IR-1 you need the I-864 Affidavit of Support form. I believe the I-134 is only for K-1, but I cannot say for sure. Also I don't think they accept the AoS form without the AoS bill being paid first and I am pretty sure they need that barcode coversheet too. If I were you I would give them a call and see what the status of your case is and if they accepted the I-134 or not.

I am waiting for my taxes to be processed and then request tax transcripts from the IRS then I will submit my I-864. But if that doesn't happen soon I will just have to use my tax return so I can get this filed. Its the only thing holding me up at the moment. Though we still have to pay the IV bill and get the DS-230 done yet too.

I will update the list with your NVC Rec. date tomorrow morning. I am bushed, so off to bed for me.

I mailed off my I-864 packet today with the last three years tax returns, a letter from my employer, and the last six months of pay stubs. I sent it express so they should have it before this week is out. I also printed off my IV Bill coversheet from the online payment site as our IV Bill payment went through. Should I wait for the packet to arrive before sending the DS-230? I know we can use the coversheet that I just printed off to send with it but what else is in that packet? Is there anything else that has to go back with that form or is it just the list for the medical, police cert, and birth cert?

I thought there was a way to do this whole process online. As part of the "paperwork reduction act" or whatever they like to call it. lol

Jawswinger, If you look at the "Forms Currently Available for E-Filing" link you will see that is only available for certain types of forms and not for the immigration process in general. Mostly its just for benefits after you have gone through the immigration system. I had run across that before and thought the same thing you did until I dug a bit deeper. Sorry, I know thats a bummer to hear. :(

I wonder what the hold up is... this whole process should be online or at least the option should be available to us. Ohh well.

It would be great if it could be, and some parts are able to be. But the problem is the supporting evidence, documents, pictures, etc. You could scan them and upload them but for high-res that take a lot of space and bandwidth. Also it would be difficult to tell if a document is the original or if the notarization or certification is real. Because of this I think most of the process will stay off line for the foreseeable future. But at least the payment is online! :) And more of their end of things could be online as well. Like the DS-3032, DS-230, I-864, etc packets. You can get the forms online already, but it would be nice if they allowed you to download them with your bar codes on them already.

I am a bit concerned that we haven't seen more progress on our list. Maybe people just don't want to track their NVC status here. Kind of a shame as the finished list would give a great overview for the group.

The AoS Fee was sent off on May 16th, still havent heard back on it. The IV Fee was paid on May 23rd. As far as the NVC is concerned they have not recieved either, although the USPS disagrees with them.

What happened all of a sudden we "December filers" haven't gotten much NOA2s. I keep expecting an approval based on the rest the guys who submitted it same time we did. I guess some people get luck and some will just have to wait? Any idea whats the longest wait 6 months? When should I start worrying.

Yeah December has stopped completely, now Jan/Feb getting the go, and we are getting ze shaft

It sure does feel like those filed in 2007 got the shaft! I see so many Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, and even a May got approved!!! The process is so screwed up. Some people are luckier than others I guess. USCIS sucks!!

They seem to be doing some restructuring of theyre system. Everything stopped and my husband just got an email from them about an email he sent 2 weeks ago! It just said they got his email. WOW. I am thinking the whole big "rush/flood" online payment thing put a chink in the nvc chain hahaha and they had to fix or catch up with some things. Hopefully soon it will speed ahead
