I have a friend who has a record. Now we know he has to get all the records on that.
3 questions:
- Juvi records are also required right?
- some of them are military that have been sealed. Any idea how to get those?
- How does the record of a USC affect a k1 application?
He was charged with:
Brandish a deadly weapon ( metal pole) Age 14, Resisting Arrest (was dropped in court, still on government record) age 14, shoplifting age 16, Domestic Violence ( Fight with sister, 3 yrs probation, about to end) age 24
and courtmarshalled.

I believe they ask for records from age 16 and up. If USCIS has a problem with his record, then I would be more concerned on your end. It won't affect the K1 process until after the I129 has been filed an approved. Then he will be given a packet with more information to submit and that is where they will ask for the police records.
Please don't take that police record lightly as we all know that what appears on the record is only a fragment of the bigger picture. Take care

Thanks D&N, that wasn't helpful at all.
It's a friend of mine and his fiancee is in the UK.
Chispas: thank you so much. I'm going to tell him to get everything, juvi or not. Better to give too much than not enough.
He knows that he has to give the record. I'm just trying to help him get a complete packet so there won't be an RFE's and they can send all the information the first time around and avoid possible delays for RFE.

the way i understand it juvi records are sealed and milital are sealed so if they ask for more then they need to get them but till then dont worry too much juvi records are from age 18 down unless he was charged as an adult good luck
