Not at all; I've had terrible experiences with doctors, and yet I've had a very lovely dentist who I rather enjoy visiting.

I just don't like my yearly physical...boy THAT'S a cure for hubris...

I had orthodontic braces when I was younger, so dentists don't scare me at all...

I much prefer doctors as opposed to the dentist.. god i cringe whenever i have to go in for a cleaning!

I hate both! So i'm glad Paul is the one that went for the medical he doesn't mind drs at all he is so laid back! it's crazy!

I was so nervous, I am so glad its over, just wish I knew when my interview would be, I rang DOS again last night, but London has not scheduled an interiew yet. I think its going to be June sometime which is fine, just be glad when I know.

I can only imagine the stress & nerves beneficiaries go through with the medical exams & interviews. I know, I'd be a complete and nervous wreck. Even if I get the common cold, I dread going to the doctor. I'll put it off until it's absolutely necessary

Hmmmm, we could exchange places on May 13.... I am honestly dreading this medical more than the interview.. and to make matters worse I am dreading it 3times coz the kids will also have their medical and they are requiring all kids to have skin test (for tb) and they say that all who have had BCG vaccine when young would most always be positive on skin test and my kids had BCG vaccine when they were babies:(

You know Nicole, I hadn't even noticed that until you posted again to correct yourself. It's amazing what the mind comprehends, even in typo english My favorite thing is going to be when I'm at the Frankfurt embassy with Stephen, and they are speaking German. I don't speak ANY German, other than Yes & No I am only thankful he does, as he's translated many a things while I was there. Although he likes to play this horrible game, when he drops a card in the mail, he writes to me in English, but the card is in German ... and the last line always says ... can you figure out what it says!!

Gaye - if the tables were turned, and Stephen was the petitioner, I would obviously go through the medical, etc. I just _despise_ doctors, I cannot even begin to expand on that ... I've not had good luck when I have gone to them ... I swear most of the time they are all guessing, or they'll find one thing about you, and blame everything on that! And I agree with Nicole, I'm sure you and the kids will all do fine at the medical.

I think it's great that you can go to the interview with Stephen! Marco said some of the interview is in English anyways!

I wasn't planning on going, but he asked me to go, said he's bound to be a nervous wreck so I figured, I'll go, and then work from over there again for 1.5 weeks while he gets his stuff all together. He's trying to get it all done in time to fly back home with me .... talk about putting the pressure on himself!!!

I guess we all have some typo scattered on this forum.... i have so many typos here and I am just glad nobody is taking count.

the kids are 10 & 8 respectively... and yeah I am sure they will be fine.. it is just that everytime I go for medical, i have this weird imagination that somebody will sabotage my specimen, change my sample urine or blood extraction or whatever other weird stuffs... but of course it is just my hyperactive imagination that is giving me undue stress. I passed my medical before I started working for a multinational pharmaceutical company years ago and also passed the annual medical check up but still... well, i could only truly relax after our medical.

Still a little shock over another medical fee increase that will take effect on May 2 here... this will be the 2nd increase since we filed January.

Yes I saw that thread about the medical fee increase there, this is all so much money.

I rang dos last night, she said that I am eligible for an interview but London dont seem to be scheduling at the moment. She also verified that I didnt have to have a security check.

Thats all I know so far.

So be glad you have an interview scheduled no matter how long you have to wait.

My laptop did that once when I logged in, and was like huh?? At the top of a thread you are in - there is an "Options" button - down at the bottom of the drop-down - it shows 3 options - choose standard. Unless of course you like the clumped up version

Been reading the boards for a while, finally thought I'd register. Lea and I filed late December, CSC received application 12/31 and NOA1 1/3. I guess that makes me a January filer.

Sounds like fun.... I am doing some final "clean-up" around the house and waiting not so patiently for tomorrow...

I've actually got a little bit of a long day tomorrow. I had mentioned I was an engineer for Philips. Tomorrow, I'm doing the final run-off on a piece of equipment we are installing... That's scheduled at 1:30...then I've got a little over an hour drive out to the airport (not that I mind that part at ALL!)... Although, I'm sort of concerned my mind won't be on the equipment I am analyzing, so I hope I don't miss something!

I'm preparing my interview docs and photoshoping our hundreds of pictures.. in case they are not satisfied with the 40++ that we sent together with I-129F petition. I'm turning this pics in to a collage by place we went, some by dates, some by events. This way, I will save on printing cost I have not realized we do have TONS of pics. If these, plus the emails, chat logs and call logs will not prove any genuine relationship I don't know what else.

We made a "Visa Journey Book" for Marco when he went for his interview. It has all of our stuff, NOA1, NOA2, tons of pictures, some flight coupons from our trip to Paris, ticket stubs from all of our trips together, so perfectly organized.. They didn't even look at it at his interview... but I guess it's a good thing for us to "remember" our journey by....

We don't have packet 3 here, only packet 4 which means we don't mail anything to the embassy, instead we will bring all the needed documents and forms with us during the interview... so I have bought several bendable folders and will be putting all the docs in separate folders (one for affidavit of support and supporting docs, one for proof of relationship, one for all those DS forms, one for the photo's, one for proof of engagement, etc.).. it will be like your visa journey book, only in chop chop form coz they say the window at the embassy is very small so we need to keep our docs very thin in order for it to pass through.

just sent Damian off to London for his Interview.. gonna be a restless rest of the night!
