What was everyones 'approval like' ? What happened, like what was said and what were you given? This is after the interview.

Thanks ~ david

I was told by the officer: "Ok, you are approved..wait outside and you will be called again." He gave me back the pictures I submitted at the pre-screener. Then I received a pink slip at Window 37. Surprisingly, I still don't have my visa in hand yet!

Well, I have asked this because here is what happened to Jenny:

She went in for the interview (lasted 5 minutes roughly) and the Consular hardly asked any questions, just a few. And said looks like all of your papers are good and said wait outside until you are called. Jenny asked "Sir, so Iam approved" and the Consular said yes and smiled.

She waited outside again briefly, was called at window 37 and was given pictures back and was told to pay Delbros. No pink slip, nothing. She had already paid Delbros at Metro Bank in Manila the 650php (which is odd because someone else before her paid 165php, there at the Embassy). Anyway , the officer there said good, when she said she already paid. She asked for her passport and they said the passport would be sent back to her. And also the Visa by the person at window 37. And then he said she could go home now (?)

Anyway, she went to the Delbros window anyway and also told them that she had already paid the fee, they said ok, you can go home then. No questions for proof that she paid....no pink slip.....nothing (?) Thats why this is very odd to me.

The Consular said she was approved, but no pink slip and essentially no more questions at window 37 or at Delbros. I suppose Im a little confused here. Same process for everyone??

The PHP 650 to Delbros is for Documents Verification fee..

After the approval you still have to pay Delbros @ the USEM to pay for the VISA Delivery fee.. Price may vary depending on location..

If asked and granted for a Visa pickup.. I think you don't have to pay Delbros..

if It is Visa pick up she will have to fill up a pink stub for her information like cellphone/telephoen number to call her ..

Which was never given to her nor charge for the Visa Delivery fee..

That's weird.. I say contact USEM..

I believe the only time one can say that the visa application is approved is when the fiancee has the visa in hand . . .there are instances like the couple we know, who paid the DELBROS but until now still no visa because of some name problems ( she was interviewed a day after Myla, September 12). Waiting for the visa is also as "painful" as waiting for the medical and interview so just hang in there , I am sure your fiancee did well.

Hi Dezee..

I am not sure if I am correct.. if anyone can correct me please do.. Deezee you mentioned that you got a pink slip. I believe pink slips are for those that wants to pick up their visa in the embassy. Did your fiancee asked to pick up the visa? I hope you get your visa asap this month so you can go do the CFO thing and be with the love of your life...

After the interview and my name was called at Window 38, they told me I was approved, gave me a pink slip (and that's for the Delbros payment), paid the Delbros and after 1 week, I got the visa.

Lira said the lady wasn't pleasant at all and asked alot of questions. However, Lira answered every single question correctly. As the interview was ending, Lira asked if she was approved and the lady didn't answer her. She just told Lira to go pay Delbros and was given the pink slip (and no other slips). Oh well, we were approved, and now she's here. smile.gif

Hi Kits,

I think pink slips are for being approved, not just for visa pickups. So I got the pink slip and paid delbros. Oh, I already finished my CFO seminar last week so I'll just need to go back for the stamp once I get my visa. Thanks for the support and I hope you get your approval tomorrow! smile.gif

ok, I thought I was confused..now I know I am confused. So Jenny should have paid the 165php (as well) then after her interview if she expects to see the Visa at all? She called Delbros and they said the Visa is still at the Embassy. So, she needs to go back to the Embassy and discuss this with who?

Or do I need to call?

I think you should call first. It will be hard for Jenny to gain entry into the US Embassy.

I called, spoke with Grace at the USEM, gave her our case number. She said that it takes up to 3 weeks to process everything to be sent, that it was pending. To call again before this Friday. Said for Jenny to go back to the Embassy and speak with the guard and explain that she hadn't actually paid Delbros yet and needed to (and this was recommended by Grace at USEM). To go to Delbros and pay the delivery fee or it would be 'paid on delivery' when it is sent. Thats all I know right now.

hi deezee!
Did you pay the P650 document verification fee before the interview?
If not, Maybe that's what's taking so long for her visa to arrive?

No coz at the time during my interview last November, they didn't require the document verification yet. But that's not the reason why its taking so long. I just don't know with them. sad.gif

Jenny went to USEM, explained the situation (delbros/pinkslip) and the Guard allowed her in. She has the pink slip, paid the delivery fee now. She was told that the Visa should be delivered in 7-10 days. And recieved a text from Delbros stating this:

DELBROS delivers! We will send you another automated text upon the release of your VISA by the US Embassy. DELBROS is always at your service!

Anyway thats the latest. God Bless
