So now I am getting ready for my 2nd attempt at the fiance visa. As per NVC the papers were sent. I think they got it on Friday in Delhi.

So I just
1. color copied my passport showing all my trips.
2. copied all the money transfers I sent to my fiance(would this help)

As I was doing this, I wondered how would I put all this paper work together? staples? is that acceptable?

I was going to have my passport and then a cover page for every trip(I went 4 times in 16 months) would contain, the tickets, the credit card bills showing I was in India, pictures of us during each trip).

Or do you think I should just make a package with all the pics, another one with all the money transfers. another one with all the tickets?

I am so confused.. wwhat is the best way to show them that I love my fiance and we are a legit couple...

It doesn't matter if you staples documents/proofs or clip them together. I would organize it in a way which makes it easy for the person reviewing it to go through your papers. A cover page would definitely help. First you should make a list of all the proofs that you are planning to send on paper. Then see in which order you should arrange it. Put all the similar documents together (i.e. airline tickets, emails, phone records, receipts etc.). If you can put this in a multi-pocket folder then put all the similar documents in one pocket, label each pocket describing what's in it and what timeframe does it correspond to. For example for your airline tickets, you should label all the different dates that you went back and visited. This way they don't have to search through the documents to find out.

On the back of yor pics, make sure you label them with who is in the picture and when it was taken. The cover letter should have the list of all the documents that you are sending and in which label folder they can be found. Some of this maybe overkill in organization but think about their mindset. Make it easy for them to find and follow your documentation.

Other things to include
-receipts for any gifts that you've given
-if you went on trips and stayed at hotels, give those receipts
-letters/cards that you've exchanged

Be confident at the interview and go in with the mindset that YOU WILL GET THE VISA.

Best of luck.

Thanks.. its interesting half the people say I should send the money transfer.. half say i shouldnt...

I didnt want to either.. but someone suggested I should... why do you think its not a good idea Raj?

I would side with the idea of NOT sending in the receipts... it sounds as if you have enough documentation to show that you have met in person. What you are doing is showing proof of having met.. not establishing the relationship. Once you are scheduled for the interview.. you may wish to carry those items as last resort... but seriously If you sent money think about how it might possibly look like you are "Paying" for the relationship... even tho you have not that intention... remember.. always side on the what is the worse impression might be given...
Show the tickets.. the pictures the flight itinary etc... simply dont give more than what is necessary.. especially if it can be misread.
Best of luck

Thanks ksumu, the details you gave were very clear and good advice! good.gif We also put documents in the labeled multi-pocket folders.

I agree with those that said don't send the money transfer receipts. It might seem like a business relationship to the Indian Consulate. I didn't show any of the money transfer receipts when we did the visa. no0pb.gif
