I called up US embassy and i was told that they got my petition package and will first undergo document verification. I was told that after verification, I will have to wait 60 days before they can give me schedule for interview? Is that true? Once US embassy receives the package, how long will it take for them to schedule me for interview?

The time it takes to schedule an interview depends on the number of applications the embassy is receiving. They won't schedule more than they have time to handle.

60 days is the maximum. They got ours and most others that we know scheduled in about 2 or 3 weeks. Good luck

Myla and I didnt call the USEmbassy for medical and interview schedules, instead we called the Department of State (DOS) because they are more updated. Give it a month after the USEM received your petition and call DOS (202)-663-1225, press 1, press0, press 0 and hopefully your schedules will be available.

What's good about IR/CR is they schedule your appointment 1st then send your docs to USEM..

As for K its the other way around..

Your case was sent about the same time as ours. We were told the same thing on two occasions, by
two different ladies there at USEM. They both told me it would not be until March or even possibly April and the schedule would not be posted until the end of January.
All i can guess is all the big bunch of July fillers that bogged down CSC here in US is now bogging down the USEM there.
