Depends where you are flying from. Some airlines may have pretty good fares from your home airport, otherwise you may want to consider getting a flight to LAX and a separate flight to your destination.

I went to PI in March 2007, September 2007 and again in Jan 2008. I paid 870 for my Jan 2008 flight using Korean air from Las Vegas with a short 1 hour 15 min stop in Korea then to Manila. I found a good Filipino travel agent in Las Vegas that did alot of searching to get me the best deal. before I talked to them I was getting a price over 1000.00 from everyone else. try to find a local Filipino agent they will do the work for you to earn future business. If you are staying in Makati area and need a condo let me know I have a few contacts for that also.

I just booked (01/05) one way tickets for 1 adult, 3 children on Continental airlines for Jan 18. Total cost? appx $2700 (all 4)

2 days later (01/07) I exchanged these for one way tickets for same group on Continental airlines for Jan 12. Total cost? appx $3100.

I had been using Travelocity to try to get tickets to fly family back to US after successful Visa interview. Prices there were appx $1400-1700 (economy each, one way). For some reason, the ticket prices I was able to get directly on Continental were not appearing. I speculate that they were being snapped up as quickly as they were releasing them.

I don't know how this would translate to round trip, but I thought I'd share the recent information. All flights were/are between Manila and Washington, DC.

Well you gotta be specific.. You need to tell us what are the dates and the return destinations..

Every States have different rates..

I use Philippines Air because there is a direct flight to Manila from San Fransciso. China Airlines had descent prices but I had a 4 hour layover in Taipei. Do your homework on the internet and you will get the best price. Anything over 1,000 round trip is probably too much.

Mike bought a ticket for his WAS-MNL-WAS via NW for $810, tax inclusive, for his original booking (i erred on the timeline calculations though and he had to change his travel dates after e-ticket issuance, hence a $350 rebooking fee was paid).

for outbound Manila, i was able to book a flight via NW for $785, tax inclusive, for my MNL-WAS March flight (same itinerary as Mike). gave instructions to my agent to hold my booking until a cheaper rate comes along.

wow guys! thank you IM here in Denver trying to find DENVER to MNL,,, if I get ticket for lower price than 1000 that will be great! traveling with infant on seat. .. still looking ,trying to find MArch24 to April24 DEN to MNL...
