Hi everyone. I'm starting to prepare my submissions for my I-751 application (to be mailed out on Feb 13). I was wondering, what kind of documents did you submit? And for those who have already been approved, how much and which documents did you send out?
Thanks very much, it's a bit frustrating to see that Vermont is taking so long in the processing of the I-751....
Good luck to all!

just to give you an idea this is what we included in our package ....
copy of baby's hospital certificate
copy of baby's death certificate
copy of rental agreement
copy of car insurance
copy of one recent joint tax form
copy of 401K that states that I am the primary beneficiary
copy of health care statement showing that I am covered under hubby's health care insurance
copy of one recent gas bill
copy of one recent phone bill
copy of one recent cable bill
copy of recent bank statements
copy of paper showing that hubby added me to his bank account
Copy of some bills (Sirius, Netflix etc) with just hubby's name and our address on it
Copy of some bills with just my name on it and our address (recent electric bill etc..)
Some envelopes with both our names and address on them...
I just sent in the most recent bill for each utility.... The phone and gas were in my name but I added hubby's name, the electric company didn't let me add my hubby's name...... and I just included the most recent bank statement.... and the application that we filled out to add me to hubby's account...

Thanks very much, Marilyn P. That sounds like a lot.
Right now, I can only send out a copy each of the ff:
joint tax return
insurance cards
dental cards
birth cert of our daughter
plane tickets/boarding pass of our trips
some pictures from our trips
none of the utility bills are in my name, but I pay for some of them
I wasn't added to the lease, we just never thought of it
we don't have a joint bank account
I didn't really keep the envelopes of greeting cards sent to both of us
I'm not sure if those are enough. I was wondering if it's too late to add my name to utility bills and so on...

you could still add your spouse to your utilities.... that is what I did.. it is pretty easy and can usually be done online...
I would also send in some bills etc.. that are in your name and some that are in his name... but they will show that you live at the same address...
I started saving envelopes a long time before I removed conditions because I knew I would need them for that...

Thanks Marilyn.
I tried to transfer two of the utility bills in my name. Not sure if they could process that in time for my submission next month that in time. And maybe there's still time to add my name to the lease.
Also, I might have to include a signed affidavit from two people that we know, to state we are living together from the day that I got here.

Joint Tax Transcript from 2006
Copy of joint bank account statements, 1 each from 2005,2006,2007 - random months
Copy of our lease with both of our signatures on it
Copies of Electric bill and Gas bill from our old apartment that were in both our names
Pictures from family events and a wedding we went to
Copies of Health Insurance cards showing the same policy
Copies of a Joint Credit Card
Proof that my wife was listed as the beneficiary of my life insurance from work
Really all I can recall at the moment....may have been a few more things that I am missing but that about sums it up. Case was approved with no RFE's
*edit* Don't be discouraged about the wait time for it, we got ours approved in almost exactly 6 months. Really not THAT bad at all compared to the times for some other parts of this journey!

Thanks, silentjester.
I think I might have enough, if the transfer of account holder name in utility bills are processed in time. And also, if my husband is able to include me in the lease within the week. I should also remember to make a copy of some pictures of our family together.

You have birth cert of your child-what else do you need? Don't get stressed-you should be fine. Make emphasis on child-doctors bills, pictures together (or you and kid and husband and kid). You can add utility bills even if it is not on your name-because you have to show that both of you resided at the same place. So, some doc might be on your name/some on husbands-but the same address. If you don't have many docs with your name and the same address-make library card (they send letters to you), store cards. But you have time-you can add your name to some utility company.
Docs should span from beginning of the marrage to date of petition. My lawer told me to include about 3 of each-beginning, mid, last statement (not like every month or quater like somebody send-but even with this, my package was like 60 pages).

No, you don't write name and A# on your evidences. You should prepare kind off like presentation folder. If you put separators-do it on the bottom. Cover letter hsould list all of your docs. I was told by lawer to send only copies-so, even pictures were printed on reg paper.

DEFINITELY put your name and A# on every single piece of paper you send. Even if you put everything in a "presentation" folder.....On the interview on this site with an ex-employee that used to approve these things he stated everything is taken out of any pretty little package you send and is put into their folder the way that they arrange all of the files.......and if any of this gets misplaced around on someone's desk you don't want it getting lost....the best thing ever to do to keep it all straight is to surely put your name and info at the top of each and every paper!!!
It's kind of like a "no-brainer"!
As far as copies go...yes, send only copies unless it states that you must send an original.
Good luck!

Yes, I agree. The instructions don't ask one to write A# on the evidences.

I'd recommend using the link below for details on how to submit packages. I wish I'd have looked before I sent ours in since the last time this said to use ACCO clips, which I used again this time, and now it's saying not to use them.

Hello everyone...
I'm getting my papers ready to send and I have a Lot of evidence including a birth certificate of our daughter, joint bank accounts, joint utility bills, Joint car insurance, health insurence cards, house Mortgage, Costco memberships and a lot more, but the ONLY thing I don't have is our joint Tax papers(we filed for an extention this year)!!!
My question is, is it necessary to send copies of our tax returns, or can I just send the evidence I have!!!I'm running out of time, my Conditional Green Card expires in less than a month!!!What do you suggest????
