I know, I know....I have been a member of VJ for one year now and I still haven't figured out how to use the quote button in a post. The button has a "+" sign in it, but when you press it, it changes to a "-" sign.

I would like to know how to quote certain lines only in a when a poster makes an entry, but I still haven't figured out how to do that.

I have hit the button, and highlighted the text I want to quote, but when I post my reply, it doesn't quote what I selected; it quotes everything.
So I have looked for a help topic on this, but nothing is specific enough. Have I missed something? I like the quotes in the boxes and would like to learn how to do it. Would someone mind explaining it to me or pointing me in the right direction?
Thanks everyone,

First of all... if quoting a single poster's response, all you need to do is click Reply (it will automatically quote that person). Secondly, once you've clicked Reply but only want to quote a certain portion of that person's response, simply edit the quoted portion in your reply screen (being careful not to remove the [] portions).
The Quote feature is for when (if) you want to quote multiple poster's responses. Click one, then another (Quote) then slide down to the bottom of the screen and click Add Reply. This will then quote both (or all clicked) poster's responses (as you see I've done here). Don't use the Reply button that is next to the Quote button when doing this as it will only reply/quote that person's response...
Clear as mud huh?
