Hello everyone!

I had a quick question about the I-134 tax info. It asks what your annual income is, and I recorded my income for 2006 on the I-134. I completed and notarized the I-134 in mid-december. Our interview date will likely be in mid-february, so I won't have my 2007 tax returns by then, but I will have my W-2's. Is it okay for the I-134 to have 2006 info on it? Considering I will only have just gotten my W-2's a couple weeks before the interview and will have no tax return for 2007? Also, if I do go with the 2006 tax info, would it be a good idea to bring the 2007 W-2's with me?

I am not by any means the "main" sponsor in this case so I don't know how much they will even look over my affidavit, my dad will be cosponsoring with over 100k income/year. Are they picky about my I-134 being perfect?

Yes, I would take the W2's.

But it will be okay to have the 2006 tax info on there instead of 2007?

You know. I always follow the rule "It's better have it and not need it, than need it and not have it"
So just bring everything you have



You're not going to have them yet. And since you won't, you can't really do anything about it

you can have your 2006 tax return with no problems... To play it safe, carry your 2007 W2s with you along with copies. Since you have a co-sponsor this really should not be a problem.

agreed. I prefer to carry 10 lbs of excess paper and have it just in case.. rather than not having enough

I carried a lot of paperwork with me. I had an entire file of photos, Airline tickets, Boarding pass stubs, Visas to other countries, Hotel Bills, Phone bills, Visa and M'card Statements and a whole bunch of other documents. I Wasn't asked any of it but If I were to go to my interview again knowing this... I would still carry everything with me.

Good luck at the interview. It really is the easiest part of the whole process.

I printed out last check stub from 2007, employer letter, bank statements from 2007. Also submitted 2006 income tax records and W2. They kept it all and didnt ask for anything else.

It might have been too much, but at least it was enough to satisfy them.

My Question is, my Interview will be before I receive my 2007 W-2 forms from my employer...

So, Do I use 2006 information on the I-134 for salary and have the tax transcripts for 2006, 2005, 2004 and just have the last few months of paycheck stubs to show salary is the same or more?
