Hi there! I am just curious to know if there is any cause for concern because our NOA1 expires on 1/18/08 and our paperwork JUST arrived in Sweden. We will not have an interview by the 18th, and I did not want to have any delays/problems because our approval notice expires. Is there something we should do to have it extended or does it get extended automatically? Thank you for any help/advice on this!

That seems to be Embassy specific, for example the china automatically extends all NOA2 approvals , as no one gets a interview before expiration.
You may want to email the embassy in Sweden with your concerns.

Thank you!

I just went to their website and there does not seem to be any way to email them. I can fax them (too bad I do not have a fax machine) or snail mail them. I can also call them and the hours they take phone calls regarding visa cases is Mon through Thurs from 1-3 PM. Too bad I'm sleeping then (thats 4-6 am here). So I'm not sure exactly how to contact them about this. I asked my fiance if he could call but he works every day between 1 and 3 PM and cannot call either. I do not know why they do not have an email address, do most consulates have one? Am I just not looking in the right place to find it? Thanks for your help!

Next best thing to do is call DOS Visa Services and talk to an operator.
