Hello, everybody - My name is Alina, I am from Bacau, currently living in Glens Falls, NY with my american husband. We got married in Feb, 2007 and in July, 2007 I received my Green card. I have a question regarding my passport - I still have the Romanian issued passport but it will expire in Dec, 2008. I will not be able to get an US passport until I will become a US citizen (in more than 2 years from now) - what's the easier way to renew my passport? Did anyone have to change their passports while in US after receiving the Green card?
Thank you in advance.

I believe you can apply for a new Romanian passport at the Romanian embassy in NY. Be sure to do this as soon as possible. Romania has to verify you are in fact are a legal citizen and this takes up to 6 months time.

I think this link will help you. http://www.romconsny.org/
