Hello all,
Wishing you a very happy new year 2008.

Ok, here is what I would like to ask

our marriage documents are in english but the seal and sign are in hindi, so do we need translation for that? or is it ok to leave it just as it is.

Ours were in Bahasa, and it would still be good, if the expense is not too much, to have one of the embassy's translators do a full translation and stamp them.

Hello Indian heart,
Thanks for the quick reply, and yes they are from Arya Samaj. The certificate itself is in English, but the seal is in Hindi and also the signatures of the Pundit and Chairman of the Arya samaj.
Thanks for enlightning me about your case, I dont' think we will have any problems.
Happy new year to you and your family, have a great new year ahead.

My hubby's birth certificate was in both English and Telugu, but the seal and signature was only in Telugu. I never even noticed it till now! We had no problem, no one asked about it. no0pb.gif His PCC (police certificate) was also signed in Telugu only, though the seal was both English and Telugu.

However I agree with B&N, if it isn't too much trouble and expense, you could always have the Translation done just in case. During this process, it is always better to have too much paperwork, rather than not enough! yes.gif

Happy New Year 2008, all! dancin5hr.gif
