Hello,

I have posted this on the embassies/consulates forum and didn't have one answer. Nobody seems to have any experience with this consultae, maybe here someone might have some...

"I'm a french citizen and live in the south pacific. Therefore I won't be interviewed at the Paris U.S. consulate but at the Fiji one.
My husband and I have contacted them several times via e-mail and even by phone leaving messages over the past months.
We had a question about travelling to the U.S. as a tourist during the immigration process etc...

We NEVER EVER GOT ANY ANSWER from that consulate and seing how they have ignored us in the past we are now worried the coming interview won't go any more smoother.

Has anyone dealed with this consulate already and if yes any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!"

Thanks to you all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dan + Gemvita
You might have an easier time getting the question you have for them, answered here. Some consulate/embassies are not very communicative. Especially to non-us citizens.

My husband is the one requesting the informations and he is 100% U.S. citizen, but they don't bother answering his e-mails and phone calls.
On the other hand I have only goten one answer about this consulate here and didn't get many details.
Well I keep hoping...

IMHO Consulates generally do not entertain immigration related questions until they have received approved petitions from the USCIS/NVC. It seems your questions is regarding a tourist visit to the US while you are in the immigration process. According to the Department Of State in order to receive a tourist visa you must show that you have ties (family/financial) to your home country and you cannot be an intending immigrant.
