Hello all,

I'm a french citizen and live in the south pacific. Therefore I won't be interviewed at the Paris U.S. consulate but at the Fiji one.
My husband and I have contacted them several times via e-mail and even by phone leaving messages over the past months.
We had a question about travelling to the U.S. as a tourist during the immigration process etc...

We NEVER EVER GOT ANY ANSWER from that consulate and seing how they have ignored us in the past we are now worried the coming interview won't go any more smoother.

Has anyone dealed with this consulate already and if yes any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks to you all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Jesse and Hema
Sorry, I cannot help you, but your best bet for an answer to this question might be the regional forum. yes.gif

you should be fine going to the US as a tourist . Just make sure you have a big file in your suitcase demonstrating you will definitely be returning back to Fiji: work contract/letter from employer . property ownership /etc... basically they will suspect you intend to immigrate and you need to proof to demonstrate the contrary.
