Hello there! I've been on the forums for a few days now but I never introduced myself so I figured its time I did.
This forum is so full of great information I'm so glad I found it, and I'm looking forward to getting to know other people on the forum!!

My name is Jennifer and my fiance's name is Kim. We met online playing a role playing game back in December of 2005. We had an INSTANT connection and attraction to each other, like love at first... type? We talked for hours and got to know the details of each other's lives, and we knew we had to meet face to face to see if the connection we had online would be just as strong in person. He met me April 27 of 2006 and our meeting was WONDERFUL! He was only here for 17 short days and then he returned to Sweden. Very sad day with a lot of tears! He has been here two more times, each time for the maximum 90 days allowed. He proposed to me in April of 2007 and we sent in our K1 application in late May.

Right now our application is sitting at the NVC waiting on "administrative processing" (its been there for 6 weeks now). I call every week to see if our application has been forwarded to the Swedish consulate, but so far no good news, and no time estimate as to how long the processing may take. So we are playing the waiting game at the moment which is NO fun!!

I wish all of the new filers the best of luck on their journey and I wish ALL of you a very happy and healthy New Year! Nice to meet everyone! smile.gif

Were you playing World Of Warcraft?
JenK
No, we were not playing WoW, we play a game called ROSE Online and there are quite a few couples I know who have met playing the game and are now together. One is from Holland and his love is from Sweden, lucky for him, all he had to do was move there and they've been happily married for a year now. It is nice to see how many romances start from an online game! I know a lot of people I talk to think its strange, but there's one thing thats nice about it... you fall in love with the person and who they are before you ever even know what they look like, which I feel is how it should be smile.gif We talk in game, on MSN messenger, through Skype, and on the webcam. I must admit, though, after meeting him and being with him in person.. nothing compares to actually being with him. Can't wait for him to be in my arms again! So come on, NVC... MOVE IT! laughing.gif

*nods* I know exactly what you mean - but isn't technology wonderful!!!

Mark fullscreens me on his laptop with video and sound and sits me on his lap pointed out at the room and I have conversations with his family quite regularly and can be involved (to a degree) with group interactions and events. It was really weird at first but now I'm so used to it - although I get frustrated because I can't turn the monitor at his end to look around and have to remind him sometimes to move it so I can see who is talking to me!

Anyway, I hope you get some good news soon!
