My Fiance sent me another set of Affidavit of support again, this time Sealed and Notarized. Thanks goodness! But ooopsss, he wrote the wrong middle name and my child's surname or family names are also wrong. He had it handwritten the two pages. The Second page is Ok but can I download the first page so I can correct the datas in there? I need your advise helpsmilie.gif

I would recommend redoing page one. While I agree that whiteout is ok, it might seem strange to them that the Fiance got the names wrong for the children. Just my opinion.

It's generally "ok" to make corrections to the document, and I've seen others do it.

However, I'd have him send another, because if they (consular officer) sees that your fiance screwed up something like middle and last names, he/she might start questioning the validity of the relationship!

My vote is that it's worth the cost to get another document filled out, signed, notarized, and mailed.

Good luck! good.gif

If a signature was required on page 1 I would agree. Also, when you print, you need the same paper and printing quality. If it's going to look like the two pages weren't printed together, get a new one. I agree that a need for correcting names on this document gives a bad impression of your bona fides.

Same thing happened to me and I had to redo my first page also. I was nervous about it but didn't encounter problems at the embassy. Your interview is fast approaching so I wish you all the best girl!
