This is (apparently) what it says on our hard copy that my OH has just opened - does this mean we *must* be approved by this date? What if we aren't?! I haven't come across anyone else mentioning it before!!

Cheers!! biggrin.gif

Yes you are approve if you received that 2nd Notice from USCIS. Your case has been forwarded to the NVC at this time.

best of Luck!!!

Oh I know we have been approved - I just wondered why there was a date of the 17th of April on the hard copy. As for being sent to NVC - I should be so lucky! At this moment I am expecting it to be gathering dust at CSC again laughing.gif

Yep, the NOA2 is valid for 4 months. But don't worry if you haven't had your interview by then because the Embassy will just extend it, especially if it's not your fault and it's because of the wait for it to go to NVC then the wait for the interview etc. If you're getting close to the April date and you don't have an interview scheduled you might want to send a quick email to the Embassy just to let them know and they'll extend it, but I believe they normally just do it automatically at London.

Thanks Gillian! I did wonder - I thought it was weird that I hadn't heard of this before!!!

For what reason would it expire then?! I can't imagine how that would happen!!

I had heard there was an expiration date, but I thought it was 6 months. Mine will expire 4/20/2008. We had actually settled on April 19th for the wedding. smile.gif

Lol - perfect timing wink.gif Presumably though once you have your visa the NOA2 is useless anyway biggrin.gif
