anybody got approved today, it seems to me, i might be wrong, that CSC works on I-751 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and fridays

If you meant asking for the dialing information - don't worry. I had a vague memory of having seen that thread. After wasting some time navigating the USCIS phone system in April, I dug around here to find the short cut, because I also felt like girlwerewolf2xn.gif at the time.

Now I wait to see if it will be another 14 months before my name is corrected and a new card sent!

Don't worry i don't think it will take long to correct your name in the green card, the maximum for that would be probably 3 mts

wink.gif I have a stamp on my passport (valid until March 2009) that should cover my travel plans for this year. Now that I know the petition is approved, I'm not so stressed out - just bummed the USCIS systems do not speak to each other!

I called the CSC the other day to make sure that the "evidence" we sent a couple weeks ago had been received and was with our case. After being on hold for 20+ minutes I got an IO on the phone and after explaining the situation, she first said, "Well, that takes at least 5 weeks to process, there won't be a decision yet." I again explained that I wasn't expecting a "decision" on the case, just wanted to check to be sure they had the necessary information for our file, since they don't provide any sort of receipt for the evidence. At that point she begrudgingly asked for my husband's Alien number. When she pulled the file up she also tried to pull the "I can't disclose any information other than to the person on file." I firmly let her know that I have never had a problem obtaining information on our case, since it is indeed our case. I also have signed and submitted information to the USCIS which I am liable for, so there is no justification for not providing information. She paused, asked for my name and birthday, and said "Well, I guess I can release information, since without your signature there wouldn't even be anything to file." What she told me next still seems hard to believe, but she said "Well, you'll be happy to know that your case was approved on the 5th." She also said it would probably take another several weeks for the system to be updated and the notice of card production to be sent out

To be honest though, as my husband said when I passed on the news, I'll believe it when the card is in hand.

I am so happy for you PKMK , but now i started freakin out , my application date line is before yours , and you got approved before me, did they jump or they forgot about me, I did a service request at the begining of the week, is that why?

I did not have my name on that list but rather just checked this forum every few days and kept an eye on things. My signature contains the dates for this process. My case got moved to CSC last month. So hang in there people, I thought mine would be a looonnnnngggggg way from being to this stage!!!! :-)

IMPORTANT! Before you edit this list, please make sure that your VJ Text Editor setting is set to Rich Text Editor. DO NOT JUST COPY AND PASTE. You can change your Text Editor as follows:

1. Click on My Controls at the top of the page.
2. Click on Board settings at the lower left of the page.
3. In the drop down box under Posting Settings, change the type of editor from Standard to Rich Text.
4. Save this change by clicking on the "Change my Account Options" button.


Then go to the most recently posted version of this list (go to the last post and scroll UP) and "Reply" to it, deleting the "quote" tags.

Hey guys,

sandy, seaflower, NickD, everybody, I just received a letter from the USCIS saying that my application has been denied because I did not show up for the finger printing and biometrics. BUT I DID. I have a receipt, right in front of me with their stamp and signature on it. I can't stop crying..Can't think straight.

The letter I have received says that I will soon receive a notice to appear in front of the IJ.

PS: I also posted this in a separate thread but posted here again to give an update to all my friends here about the whole situation.

don't worry,
call them now and ask to speak to an immigration officer in the customer service line tell them it is an emergency,
tell him you have the receipt and the stamp of your finger prints nand you received a letter of abandon, they will know their mistake and actually approve you in a matter of week and send you the card,
thiss happened before
what you need to make sure of is speak to an IO as soon as you can!!!!
