Defo - I keep looking at the time and counting down for her - I am feeling sick to my stomach on her behalf - I know I will be just like she is when it gets to my interview! I just can't believe the crummy start to the day!!

No news just yet - she's been in 45 minutes and from what I hear, by the time you wait around and stuff it takes at least an hour or so so I am kinda hoping to hear something really soon - I am soooooo ansy!! I keep looking at the time and my tummy keeps turning over... I hope she is calmer now she is actually going through it all

I'll make it understated so she can make the BIG announcement on Wednesday but Debz just got approved!!!

I am sooooo happy for her! She must feel a million times better!

I just found out my interview has been scheduled March 10th at 9:30am. I have a problem though. I am meeting Rory in Mexico Feb 27th - March 9th for a pre-wedding honeymoon and I put this down on my packet 3 info. The trouble is I just realised my flight doesn't land in England until the morning of the 10th - way too close to the interview time. So annoying.

Has anyone received packet 4 then asked for the embassy to change the date? Should I write back to them explaining and also send them an email. The last thing I want to do is annoy them or delay the interview much longer - I wish I could call someone and speak to them about this. I could cancel the flights but would lose all the money. Ahhhhhh

I don't know about asking the Embassy to change the dates, but I can't imagine that's very easy!
What happens if you return from your trip early? Does the airline penalize you for changing your dates (rather than fully cancelling?) I know that US airways charges you $200 to change the dates, and also charges you the difference for the new flight, but I would think that would be less expensive than cancelling your trip entirely...

It definitely can be done. You should immediately call the Embassy "extortion" line and explain your situation. They will give you a special code to reference in the body of the email you send to the embassy, otherwise you probably won't get a response - you might, but with something this important, I'd pay the fee to get the code! Juast tell them you need an alternate date and time, and they should accommodate you!

Make sure you post your new date and time and then I'll add you to the list!!

I can't wait to hear ALL the details, please don't leave anything out. I was thinking of you all day today & actually walked by the Embassy at the end of my day. I wanted to see if it was still the same entrance as when I was last there a few years ago. Good to know what direction to run in in case my tube journey is disrupted or something... I must say, I've already started going through all the things that might go wrong & feel a tad nervous myself now...

Please could those who interviewed on the 2nd of Feb also post testimonies with every single little detail please? It really helps. I got my packet 4 today.
It says no large bags, I'm wondering whether it's okay to put my large scrap book & all my large envelopes & folders of paperwork onto a tote type of bag or should I just use a large shopping bag in case I have to trash it? Of course I'm taking extra stuff that they're not even asking for. Better safe than sorry..

CONGRATS!!! feels good doesn't it. It really wasn't that bad...just the waiting but that is something we should all be used to.

Plus I just got text from courier saying my visa should arrive in my paws tomorrow. Getting it delivered to my work address.

So EM, how is life in these United States treating you? Have you guys tied the knot yet?

I'm loving it so far. We're getting married on 26th Feb so I'm enjoying a nice relaxing time for another few weeks before I have to file for AOS! You'll have the pleasure of doing that before me.

I'm glad to hear it! We are scrambling to get everything together for the 16th! Nearly there! Although, we don't have the AOS paperwork ready yet. Not the big huge hurry that the K1 was. We're just happy to be able to be together to wait it out!

WHen is everyone's planned or tentative wedding date? We are planning for early to mid march.

Since we just started...date is very fluid...maybe in the fall/winter...

Congrats to all the approvals! It's weirdly out of order, but awesome that everyone is finally getting through.

My fiance's interview isn't scheduled for the 28th, but his medical's tomorrow and that alone seems like a victory after all these months!! Getting so excited - still have to pull some of the support forms together, but honestly it seems so easy compared to all the wedding planning (and waiting, and waiting...)

by the way, got a text earlier from an american number, guessing it was jeremy, Aly made it through immigration no problems
