It looks like she 'called' DOS on the 3rd of October and they told her the interview date. At least that's what happens in a lot of cases (mine included). Sorry for butting in smile.gif

Congrats to BMJ on a successful interview!
cca
Ohhhhh Ok thanku for clearing that up for me..i was a bit worried as DOS told me mine and as a result i have booked train tickets ect
BMJ
So Mark had the interview this morning. He got there really early and was the first one called back for the K-1. The lady said she was pleased he had all the paperwork in order and after about an hour he was walking out approved. He said she asked a few questions like how did we meet, how long have we been together, has he ever been here. Stuff like that.
After the interview and everything was approved she sent him to another area where he was asked how he would like his visa back, his options were date ranging from next day to 5 days (the sooner the return the more expensive) The visa would have to be signed for and Mark set it for next day after noon so he will be staying home tomorrow to wait for it to show up.
This Saturday he will fly home and we will finally be able to be a family. Our wedding is set for October 15 (has been for over a year now so this was a true blessing that it was approved, we were worried we would have to either not get legally married and only have the cermony until we did get an interview or get legally married and file a K-3.
I still cant get over that everything went ok, I have been so nervous lately that I can hardly function.
Hope everything goes well for all of you guys

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have my interview october 20th and im getting more and more nervous with 'what ifs' by the day!!

That is such good news. I've already expressed congrats, but wanted to thank you for sharing the details too. I don't think I will sleep or eat much for the next 7 days as we await my fiance's interview. I pray that his goes as smooth as your fiance's did. Best wishes for a happy life together.

Congrats BMJ!!! I saw you were approved in another thread so took the opportunity to update.

cca I will add you when I next update. Thanks for popping in!
Stuart n Courtney
Hey guys I don't have my interview date yet but was told by NVC today that our application was sent to the London embassy 2 days ago now so i'm hoping they might have it. How do I check to see if they have received it? To phone costs a fair bit, do you guys recommend e-mailing them?

Hopefully I will have my name added to the list for London Interview's soon!

Good luck to everyone

As BMJ has already said we got approved. I was in a state of shock, I will say get there real early. my interview was initially kicked off at 0800 they let us into the embassy at 0745 but I had been there since 0630. I was literally back out of the embassy like an hour later. Now im waiting for the passport/ visa to be returned .. though it doesnt look hopefull that I will be flying on saturday sad.gif ah well time to go find another £500 for flights. the Consular officer that gave me the Auth said that it would be with SMS by the end of the day, but ive been reading elsewhere that SMS are about as reliable as british rail used to be. anyone shed any light ? I know they say upto 5days but I asked for nextday pre 12 and the guy (who was just as stunned that I had gotten through so fast) on the counter said how much it would be and that was that.

btw being a noob.. DOS =???

Hello. I am a straggler from the Feb CSC Filers forum. I have an interview date of 29 October. Perhaps you could add me to the October list?

Hi im a little bit confused with ur timeline....it says dos told you interview date of 3rd october...but yet ur interview date is later??do they get it wrong?or did you have to reschedule?

It looks like she 'called' DOS on the 3rd of October and they told her the interview date. At least that's what happens in a lot of cases (mine included). Sorry for butting in smile.gif

Spot on - sorry for the confusion. I called DOS on the 3rd and the nice lady told me we had an interview scheduled for 29th.

Fingers crossed for that delivery MBJ. It is outrageous that they would take extra £ and then not provide the extra fast service.

Congrats to those approved this past week or two!!!

Gareth's interview is this coming Thursday morning. I am scared out of my mind and just want it DONE! He has all in order and I even sent him an additional affidavit of support I had notarised because of the confusion people posted about question 11 so now we have one where it is done like on here with neither box checked and then another with the "i intend to support" box checked then both say for K1 fiance' visa etc...

We'll soon be onto November. Anyone got a colour preference?

I wonder if someone could shed some light on this for me as I am begining to have a little panic and as most of you are at interview stage I hope that you dont mind me asking

Story is I am waiting for my NOA2 got the NOA1 30th June and on my timeline I should get it adjudicated mid November.

I wont be able to move to the States till March time, due to obligations here. So I have booked a flight to the States to spend Christmas with my other half, with the plan of not sending back packet 3 till January. I have just seen that someone who also filed in June (from the Ukraine) has got there NOA2 and received packet 3 with their interview date, I have looked at the US Embassy page and it says that on receipt of packet 3 they will issue the interview so I am a bit confused

So what I would like to know is, does the US Embassy here give you an interview date before they receive packet 3 back, fingers crossed they dont

If I get packet 3 in November/December is it going to cause a problem if I send it back at the begining of January

I am worried that I have just bought a return ticket that I will not be able to use.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me on this

I was on the understanding that once you sent back the forms from packet 3 the interview date would soon after.

So was I from what I have read, but I have now seen a couple of times that interview dates have been given before packet 3 returned but they were not from the UK, so I just wanted to get it clarified.
So hopefully that is not the case in the UK
Do you know if there is a time limit in which to return the packet 3? I was going to send it the day I got back from my visit 5th Jan. I may be panicing prematurely as I might not even get packet 3 before I go, you just dont know.

thanks for the quick reply
Laura+Tom
I don't know if the dates (usually 4mths) on the NOA2 have anything to do with it. Though I have heard the embassy will extend the date by another 4mths if need be.
