I haven't heard a thing. I feel most worried about bunsk as its so unlike her to not update us after being so active here for so long. piqqulet hardly ever posted and AP for Sad Eyes can be so unpredictable, so who knows??
Jeraly
bunsk hasn't logged in since the day before her interview so it is possible she got approved then went on a mad rush of packing and moving asap biggrin.gif

I really hope so Aly! I hate when people never return to let us know how things went at the embassy!

According to my list, gareth's girl interviewed last month and was approved! I'm showing the next interview for a VJer is on 1 April - Geordie Lover.
Jeraly
Really?!

*checks dates*

blush.gif

Yeah - I think maybe I am still stuck in February...

Ah well - the thread needed a bump wink.gif
Poiteen
ok - just about to send my packet 3 stuff, just wanted to ask a quick question -
I sign the DS-230 part 1 right? and I don't send part 2, cos I'm looking through the info in my packet3, and I can't find where it says not to sign it.

help appreciated star_smile.gif star_smile.gif
Robyn-n-Kris
Does anyone know if they are still averaging 6+ weeks in getting an interview set up? I've been going down the timelines but its not been easy trying to get an average. I know Kris is going to send his packet3 back the day after he gets it and we have everything else prepared just no clue how long it will be between packet 3 to packet 4 and the interview date. I know he 'should' get his packet 3 by mon/tues of next week though.
Jeraly
That would be really handy to know actually... I sent my packet 3 off and I am really hoping for a quick and painless death interview/medical!!
greeneyedgirlfl
We sent our packet 3 back a couple of weeks ago and haven't gotten anything back yet...
StillThePrettiest
mine took a month through London
Jeraly
A MONTH?!?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh that will drive me nuts... I really want to get in there before I need a new police certificate sad.gif
StillThePrettiest
sowwy sad.gif

well, but when I DID get Packet 4, I had something like five days before my interview; when they moved, they moved fast wink.gif
Jeraly
Well I want my packet 4 this week and I want my interview next week or the week after biggrin.gif I wonder who I should bribe...
NickyMcMillan
Then on the other hand I got my packet 4 early this month for an interview April 30th. So it would seem interviews are now going into May.

They seem to schedule interviews based on anticipated travel dates listed on the check list. I suspect we'll see the April calendar fill up a bit more.
Jeraly
I hope I get an April one even though I am travelling in June... I am sick of hanging around now... sad.gif

Got the visa delivered to me this morning. Even though I was told I would personally have to sign for it as well as provide some form of identification, my mother signed for it and that was that.

Included are all the forms and paperwork that the Embassy kept hold of. Also the medical paperwork as well as the psychiatric report.

I'm hazy on the procedure of entering the states. What line do I join in customs? Foreign or citizen? Am I a 'non immigrant' or 'immigrant'? That still confuses me as some of the forms I had to complete say 'non immigrant' on them wacko.gif

I'm aware that I have to take the envelope given to me at the interview on to the plane with me, but I'm not sure if the same applies to the paperwork they just returned to me today (including psychiatric report). I'd rather avoid a lot of questioning on this psychiatric report if possible, but I guess I will take that stuff on the carry on luggage should they ask for it.

You only need to hand in the unopened envelope to immigrations.

My fiance (at the time) went through the foreign citizens line, which is what you should do too!

Dear VJ

I never knew you allowed such filth to be posted on your site. Every fine-thinking person knows full well the efficiency of USCIS workers, and to read such claptrap posted about them offends my delicate sensibilities. I am a long-time reader and contributor, but I feel moved to tell you I am cancelling my subscription forthwith.

it says so many times not to buy a plane ticket. but I seem to think that having a travel date gets you a quicker interview date. is this true? and do they frown on already bought plane tickets? We just got packet 3 and are sending it back tomorrow an am debating weather or not to put a anticipated travel date in.

Just because you tell them you have an anticpated travel date doesn't mean you have to have actually purchased plane tickets. Its just the date you anticipate to travel.
Damian&Kelly
thank you. that clear things up.

Well, the time has come to say goodbye to the 2007 UK interview thread. No more interviews in London that we know of! So, I thought I'd get a new thread rolling so we can all keep track of who is interviewing when and share in the joy of visa approvals together! Here are the scheduled dates so far:

  • Dazzler.............................................2008-01-02
  • walkies_a .........................................2008-01-04

  • Stephen & Amber ..............................2008-01-08
  • Chris & Amy .....................................2008-01-10
  • Shorty & Nilz .....................................2008-01-11
  • Randy & Maggie(Mustang-sally) ...........2008-01-14
  • Jeff & Bev (Wellywench) .....................2008-01-17 (Waiting for an alternative interview date)

Well I am hoping to book mine this week - it's not until the 30th June so I feel pretty safe although who knows what will happen - I put that down as my intended date of travel as well smile.gif
