Hello everyone! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
For the past few weeks b4 my interview,i can tell that i am truely nervous for my interview...i have no worries for my medical coz ever since i have no healh problem...
my interview scheduled 8:30 am...i was there at 7am...so surprising coz only few people are there...maybe bcoz of the coming christmas holiday.i was called for window 25, a good looking GAY was there for my pre screening interview...at first he is talking abt how i can amend my passport,he was giving advice and then later on,he was asking how i met my husband...of course i tell the truth and he was surprised when i told him abt my K1 visa..then asked me pictures and leters and i gave him a lot...it didnt take more than 2 minutes. few minutes passed i was called at window 44...wow the consulate there was really a very god looking and a very nice man...he greeted me MERRY CHRISTMAS first..he didnt asked much...he only asked me how many times my husband came to visit me....he asked me too if i miss him,and i said 'YES,VERY MUCH!" ,he asked how many kids i have from my previous relationship.then,he looked on our pictures then letters but he didnt even opened it.then he stamp and then look on the computer then stamp again my papers, then he said,"OK,I SEE ALL OF UR DOCUMENTS ARE OK,AND I DONT SEE ANY PROBLEM ON IT..THE NEXT WINDOW WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOU CAN GET UR VISA".thats all! so i waited for my number to flash and i was called at window 37,and the same gay who pre screening me was the one in window 37.i was surprised coz i have to pay 2...for Delbros P162( i paid P162 instead of P165 coz they dont have change) and for the documents review w/c is P650. i told my husband abt it right away and he then told me that its in the embassy website,in "preparing for the interview".he said that NSO will review my documents.and today he told me that he called the embassy and asked my visa, the lady told him that its already send to NSO and advice us to call them back end of January 2008...
so guys, lets keep our finger crossed and hoping that i will get my visa on hand soon.
i am also want to say thank you to all VJ's who pray for me....thanks a lot!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

So, you have to wait until the end of January to find out if you were approved? Thank you posting the information. Good luck and God Bless you.
vbtbmrt
why do you have to wait till end of january ??? did you pay for doc. review at interview is this what is holding you up. or is there someother reason for this

does anyone else know that reads this if this is going to happen to all people
Frank+Jocelyn
That doesn't sound right.
nscarnut
what does it means why u have to wait till jan to get your visa i guess 3 to 7 days after u approved from your interview u can have your visa on hand then, not unless they put you on admistrative review to verify some of your documents ....
cjthel
coz there's an added procedure which is the NSO verification process. For those who have been advised or called the USEM, we have to pay P650 thru MBTC and takes two weeks to complete. That's why she has to wait for that before her VISA is issued. Not too sure if it was Tanjay or Tim Y who posted it but you can try to look at previous thread. Ok found the thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99501
God bless us all!!! Keep on praying...

thanks cjthel for the info...honestly i feel so bad that i missed this forum b4 my interview but then it happens that i am also running out of time when they added this NSO procedure.i really have no idea at the time after my interview why they need to send my documents to NSO for verification,it was my husband who read it in the embassy website.
yes VJ's ur right, they send it to NSO coz my BC is delayed registered.i was born 07-07-1972 but i was registered in 1988.
anyways, they lady told my husband that it will takes 2 weeks for the NSO to review it and then it will takes 2 weeks also for the embassy to recieve it and then issue the visa.
VJ is really a big help for me...thanks everyone! for the kind words! i learn a lot from here..more power and wish us all a goodluck for the coming year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
prettyfacenbody
congratulations and best wishes to you!

dnt worry you will get your visa soon..... i read the thread 3 weeks before your interview u have to send 650 to delbros for NSO verification to avoid delayed issuance of visa..

It does sound strange but Manila has changed a lot since we went through there. At least they collected for DELBROS so that is a good sign.
vbtbmrt
well so if you pay the fee before hand so there is atleast 2 weeks before the interview there will be no delay in the issueance of the visa

if you pay at interview you will be delayed

is this what i am understanding with this

i want to go to interview with wife and wont have time for the delays want to be able to fly back with her so she dont have to endure all alone interview , plane ride, poe

Hey guys. I am new here and this post has me a little confused. My ? is simple. We have an interview date set and my fiance plans on picking up the visa after it is approved. Do we need to pay this new fee and expect these delays in the p/u of the visa or is this just for those that are having it mailed? Thanks

If you do not want any delays you should pay the verification fee at least two weeks before your interview. My wife is going to pay the fee at the same time she pays the K visa fee.

I understand what you are saying, but the process is not totally black and white when dealing with USEM blink.gif . I suspect it varies by devil.gif consular officer devil.gif who is handling things as to what they "require." My wife (Filipina awaiting IR-!/CR-1 appointment) was at the embassy two weeks ago completing our daughters birth abroad registration and passport and asked specifically about it. It actually came up over our daughter's birth certificate. My wife had both the local registrar version and NSO issued one on security paper (SECPA). She was told that if she had only the local registrar one she would have to pay and wait for a NSO verification (issue of one to the embassy from NSO via Delbros).

When she asked abotu the requirement for her papers in the next couple of months for her interview she was told as long as they are issued on SECPA from NSO there is no problem and they won't need verification good.gif . The only exception the lady mentioned was if there were "abnormal" circumstances surrounding the documents. Changes and late registrations are what was talked about for that, but she said that was on a case by case basis.

All said and done I would say it is not worth paying the extra if you have the NSO papers and no immediate rush to get out of the PI. We plan to finalize our plans and close up our house and things after her visa interview and everything is approved so a possible delay wouldn't really affect us. IF you are very concerned and think it may have a bearing on your case by all means I would recommend doing it, but the impression I got was that it was primarily intended for those lacking NSO approved documents or who had possible abnormalities with their papers.

Thanks for the info and links. Had I not looked on vsj I would not have known about this and delayed my girl being here sooner. You all have been a big help. Joe

That's a good news sis. Actually, we have the same case. I was borned in 1983 and registered in 1997 due to some factual reasons - main reason is our city hall was burned a month after i was borned so my civil registration document was not forwarded to the NSO and my mom knew about that later on. she registered me in 1997.

i sent you a PM so we can track our progress. pls add me on your yahoo messenger list ha.

God bless you and i believe that you will receive your visa very soon!!!
