Ahmed N Cheryl
Okay guys......Cairo received our Packet 3 today and said they would notify Ahmed of the interview date within 10 days. So anyone who has been through an interview at Cairo for a K1 visa and can give us any insight to what questions may be asked I would appreciate it. Also, does cairo allow the Fiancee at the interview? I have read some countries do and some do not. I have also read that some go even though they are not allowed in the interview room. The Embassy knows they are there cuz they send their passports in with their Fiancee and they can see them waiting with them. What are your thoughts or suggestions on this???? What experiences did you have when you interviewed? Thanks!!!!!

Cheryl

Not sure if the K1 questions are different than the K3 ones. I went with my husband to his interview but the guy never showed up and it was postponed for the week after which was the day I left only a few hours before the interview. It was on record that I was there but apparently that didn't do a bit of good since we're going on 5 months of ap. There is no "room" that they go into. They basically just stand in front of a window much like at a bank and they are asked questions through the glass. Quiz him on the basics like your age, birthdate, kids birthdates, what your job is, how long you've worked there, the names of your immediate family members, etc.

There's a pretty comprehensive question list that was circulating around here a while back maybe someone can resurrect it. There will be a LOT of people waiting with him to be seen but be sure to let him know that the bulk of these are not for the K1 or K3 they are for work visas or the diversity lottery. Out of hundreds of people there we were the only ones for a K-3 interview and there were no K-1's there. Same thing when he went a week later.

Thanks Bridget!!!!! It will be great if someone can resurrect that list of questions. I have covered everthing I can think of. But I am worried they will ask something that has just not come up. I am not really close to my Family. It is a long story but I am not. I see my mother maybe twice a year and the same for my Father. They divorced when I was 3. I lived with my Grandmother and she passed 4 years ago. But just because they are my parents I filled him in on Names and where they live. Is that enough? Same with my sisters Names where live and how many children. He knows about my job, my daughter's info he knows....even her cell number. But I am sooooo worried. Thanks for your input. I can always count on you. good.gif

I think it really depends who you have for the officer. When Ramy went, the CO only asked him about 8 questions and most were about himself and his previous visit to the US, not me. They didn't ask him anything about my family, but they asked him if his family approved of our relationship and what all of them do for work.
