Hello All,

I am currently filling out the "DS-230 Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration" for my Colombian wife as part of the CR1 process.

In question 13 it asks for her present address. We are still living together at the address listed on each of our G-325's. However when they process this application (3 to 4 months from now) we will not be living together at this address as I will be in the US and she will be temporarily living with her mother. Don't I want to put her mother's address as this is where they will send the interview packet? If, not how will they know where to send the interview packet?

Thanks for help always,
Jaco

First they will send the DS-3032 Choice of Agent and then there will be Packet 4, but to make sure everything is truthful, list your present address then when she moves just file a change of address. If you are living together in the in her country, you can file Direct Consular Filing, otherwise you have to send it from a U.S. address. Assuming you will be named as her agent in the U.S., you will also receive the packet, probably a couple of weeks ahead of her. While you are still together, download the DS-3032 and have her fill it out and sign then take it with you and you will have it ready when the time comes....just leave the date blank until you send it.

mgk
Question 13 sould have present address of beneficiary at the timing of filing ds-230. In your case, it could be your mother-in-law's address.

My wife does not receive mail at her livin address, so I put her work address, then attached another page and for that item nuber put her current living address, and explained why the address on the form was her work address.
I am not "case complete" yet so I don't know for certain it is okay, but I think it will be.

So, in your case you could put the address she wants forms mailed to (her mothers) on the form, then on the attachment explain your current address is ????, but that you will both be moving, and would like all mail sent to the address on the form.
