My husband arrived on 2/10/2006, and it completely slipped my mind that I had to work on the removal of conditions for his green card.
I am now working on his paperwork and intend to mail everything by the end of the year. I will be about 21 days late. Will this affect our application adversely? He is supposed to fly overseas for work, and I'm nervous he won't be able to re-enter the country.
Any ideas?

How did you calculate you'll be 21 days late? What is the expiration date on his green card? If he arrived in February 2006, then his card should expire no earlier than February 2008. You can file anytime within the 90 days prior to the expiration date on his green card with no problem. It only becomes a problem if you file AFTER his card expires.

You are only late if you file after 2/10/08.

Her husbands arrival date has nothing to do with the date you have to file to remove conditions. She has t o have the package ready 90 before the 2 year GC expires. they should send that any time in 90 day period. but not any earlier than that. Usually people send that withing the first 30 days.
Good luck!

CR-1 and IR-1 Immigrant visa holders get I-551 stamp in passport, that is the date LPR status is granted for immigrant visa holders.
