hello ,and thank you for checking this post. i need help links any advice.

my mother of age 78 has become severly ill ,and needs to be watched ,and cared for 24 hours a day

now she is healthy enough to be home, and wants someone we know to watch after her. my asawa (filipino mate) sister she currently does this in taiwan, but her contract ends in febuary, and is available to come here after that date.

now i have a doctors note stating the emergency of having the caregiver, and im goin to senator kennedys office in boston to try an expedite it

now what i need,
1,) im told the U.S. government through medicare pays for home healthcare ,but cant find it.

2,) any other suggestions to get the work visa approved quickly??

you know, i am really not sure how this works. i don't think you can bring her over. the only option would be for her to go and apply for work visa. i don't think senator could help either, since there's plenty of people in america that could do her job. it's hard to tell. can she apply for visa by herself?

have you tried calling medicare to see if they pay for home healthcare.. their number is 1-800-633-4227
it's best to ask them about medicare just to be sure.. God bless

Your wife can sponsor her when she has US Citizenship, but that is not going to help soon.

There is no obvious job category, is she a Registered Nurse? That would help but even that's backed up a long way.

Have you tried craigslist?

Work visa's are more likely approved for skilled labor. Caregiver will likely not fit that category by definition.

The time it would take your wife to sponsor her sister can take years....
