Hi I am new, to this site. I need to know what to do. I finally received a response after filing for my so to come to US as a fiance. My point is I sent the packet to California Service Ctr and I am in Illinois. The response that was sent that it was the wrong service center. I called the 800 number and was told it was just a human error. What a response!!! I was told to resubmit as if it was the first time all over again. Does anyone agree and/or been through this scenerio. helpsmilie.gif

Welcome to the board and Merry Christmas and hope you get quick responses to your question. I'd call again to speak to a different person to find out what exactly the human error was. I'd try to track that sucker down and see if it was forwarded to the right service center or is it coming back to you. All else fails, hopefully you have copies of everything sent!

I would call again and see if someone else can give me some more information. I was under the impression that if the packet was sent to the wrong service center then they forward it to the right one.

File Form I-129F with the California Service Center if you live in:

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington,Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

Mail your Form I-129F package to:

USCIS
California Service Center
P.O. Box 10130
Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0130
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Finstr.pdf

You filed correctly at the CSC as per the instruction of the I-129F. Re-submit your application as instructed.

Good Luck!

Merry Christmas!

I wouldn't waste any time and resubmit the package as soon as possible. Once that's in the mail with signature required, make more contact to show the original submission and try to get them to accept the original mailing date. You may have to argue with them, but make sure your packet is mailed out to them. Don't hold on to it while fighting with them, cause it will surely delay the process. Make sure you have a couple copies of the entire packet. And include copies of the original mailing receipts when you resubmit.

what did they do with the money you sent them with the paper work?

My check was returned as well. I Thank everyone for their replies and thank you I do not have to feel so alone in this situation. I will be sure to go ahead and resubmit everything and yes I have copies and will make copy of my original postal envelope that was sent back to me as well. I guess I will write my own statement as told by their clerk. Should I send the same check I sent the first time with my original submission date. It is even stamped on the back along with the other documents.

Merry Christmas and again

Thank you all and I wish all well. good.gif

How long was it before they returned your packet? Honestly, and this is just my opinion, I would just resubmit the packet (with a new check) and leave it at that. Try and see if you can get them to accept your original mailing date but I would not spend too much time on that. The important thing is that they accept your package.

Good luck!!!

I called again just for GP and was told what you just stated. Resubmit and send a new check. So I will However I will put in a brief note explaining what happened according to their human error along with the guys id number I spoke with on today. I hope I do not have anymore problems concerning this issue. It just throws the process further behind and I see what the motto here is PATIENCE, that has never been one of my attributes blink.gif

Not to be negative but you better fix that right quick or you'll go nuts. The USCIS requires lots of patience.

Good Luck!
