In today's pile of mail accumulated while we were away on vacation was Richard's NOA. It is dated 12/14/07 and
postmarked 12/14/07 (woo hoo) kicking.gif OK of course that's the good news.

Now for the questionable news part and the question....
I went to check online and put in the receipt number and it says the number does not exist. Has this happened to anyone else. Does it take time for them to update the system ?

I was so excited and then kind of let down....any info would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks.

Bette

Take a look at the fine print on the notice. If it's like the one we got, it will tell you that you have to use the application number on the biometrics notice (which should follow in the next few weeks) to find the case online. The number on NOA1 is a temporary one.

I don't know - but we scan everything (letters, passports etc) and keep it in a file in the computer...also keep the letters in a fire-proof box (along with all important docs, passpirts etc) If not I'd never find anything... unsure.gif blush.gif

Well, I ACTUALLY got to talk to a live person at USCIS!!! (praise God!) And he told me that the LIN number I have on my NOA1 is still good. He also eluded to the fact that I should be getting my new card by February.... I sure HOPE SO!! :-)

ok... i think my nerves can settle a bit now.... got panicked there for a few minutes.
