Yaar my lawyar just receive my packet 3 from NVC in U.S. and she send to me and told me to send her back then she will send it to NVC... its so somplicated how many packets are there 3, 3.5, 4...
now if i send all originals to NVC i will have nothing to take to embassy with me except Photocopies.. so i was thinkin is it good to send Attested Photocopies by Forign Affairs. and keep original with me when i will recieve any packet from embasy then i will send original to Islamabad... but the packet i have is Packet 3 and it needs to be submit at NVC in U.S> not islamabad.....

ok alright.may be the process is changed now.u can see my timeline.my case is transfered to pakistan in july this year.i think u were talking about ds-230 form as packet3.when i received it from nvc, they just required photocopy of benificiary's passport and 2 photos at that time along with ds-230part one.when i send these papers to NVC.they transfered the case to islamabad embassy.then isb embassy sent my wife is pakistan packet 3.5.it contains ds-230both parts and a list of required documents.at that time we sent them original nikkahnama, birth certificate, police certificate, photos, passport copy via speedex.then they had given my wife interview letter which is packet4.so that was our process of IR1 visa.its our experience.i told ya everything accordng to that.may be the process is changed now.sorry if i misguided u but it was not intended.i hope other members going through this process from pakistan right now will help u.all my best wishes are with u.take care
