Hey, I may be asking a stupid question but Do you guys think that USCIS works on weekends due to the tremendous increase in the number of applications filed in the last few months? Just being impatient for my EAD and curious cause some members here say they have been updated during the weeks too yes.gif .

Thanks smile.gif

Plus..many employees have what is called "use or lose" vacation time. They store up their vacation time (that would lost in the new leave year) and save it for the week between Xmas & New Year. It is usually in most agencies a liberal leave week and as long as someone is there "to hold down the fort" they let most people, that want to, take off.

The bottom line...you can presume not much done around/during the holidays. Things should pick up second week in January...

Disclaimer: Of course I have not worked for the USCIS, but it's been the same for the several other agencies I have worked for.

There have been some articles that have reported that the USCIS contract staff is working a lot of overtime to process their summer 2007 applications. OF course the lazy, shiftless, actual government employees who get lots of leave time and sick time wouldnt dare work any overtime.

Disclaimer: Lazy and shiftless are applied across the board to a group of government morons who look under every rock and behind every bush for imagined terrorists (focusing on the "potential terrorists" who actually send their names, birthdates, family history, work history, and address history in for them to pour through) while leaving our southern borders wide open for every ganster, drug runner, or smuggler who wants to come across and do illicit business here.

I got lucky because the ones that are "holding down the fort" are not lazy! kicking.gif
