Congrats on that, but other senior members with more knowledge can answer you probably better if you can show your timeline and information.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!!

Once you get the NOA #2 from USCIS approving your I-130 they will transfer it to the NVC who will then assign you a NVC case number. The first step there will be that you will receive a bill for the affidavit of support and the DS-3032 choice of agent which must be filled out and signed by the beneficiary. You would normally be the agent of choice unless you are using a lawyer. You can save some time by having your spouse download the form, fill out and sign then send to you so you have it ready to be mailed back in. Go to this thread in the forum and you will find the entire NVC process and some time saving tips. Just scroll down to where Version 2.0 starts.

I suggest you read the Timesavers thread in the National Visa Center forum, pages 1, 10 & 11 so you can get an idea of what the NVC process is about. You can follow the shortcuts to see if they can process your forms faster or just read it for your own reference. You will most likely spend about 3 months there before they complete your case.

hi bob,

You will probably find most of the information you need in the guides. If you click on the Guides Tab at the very top of this page you will want to look at these two items (on the left hand side):

CR-1 / IR-1 Visa and I-130 Petition Guide

NVC Flowchart

The NVC flowchart is especially helpful as it is a great visual of the process you will go through once your petition reaches NVC (which is your next step - your petition will be forwarded there soon).

Good luck!
