Hi- after my husband's POE on the 4th of October with a CRI visa, he finally received his welcome to America notice of action letter last week, and his green card a few days ago. He received a I-797 notice of action on the 5th of December, and then about a week later he received a I-797C notice of action. I've tried looking up the difference between these two forms online. My husband and I thought that maybe the I-797C was merely a copy of the original I-797. From what I've read online, some people say that there's no difference between the two. Can anyone shed some light on this?

My husband's POE was before our two year wedding anniversary, so he's on a conditional status. Is that what the C is for??

Thanks!
