hello everyone.. i m feeling so upset.... i sent ma ds-230 form.. last night i was checking the photo copy of ma ds 230 form and abt Q#20 i came to know that i have done a blunder..

list all the place where you have been living from atleast six months,starting from ur current resisdency..

so i wrote city, province n country ok. but from/to i have written from but in to... i have written 2-2005

which is bassically my typing mistake i had to write the present date..i called to NVC last night but they just told me that they have recived my Ds-230 form, i told him to make some changes in that q#20 but the operator told me that sir i donnot have your form open here, i have just the information that we have recieved it and it will take 2 - 4 weeks to completed n if dere is any mistake we will inform you..

Now pls help me is dere anyway that i can do with ma mistake....

any suggestion will be wellcome...

i dont think they will make any changes for you i think they will ref and send back to you to make corrections i could be wrong but i have read it on vj godd luck and sorry

I hate to give advice, because I think someone out there in VJ land knows more then me. With that said you probably will not take my advice now. But i like to give my .02c.
I would resubmit the form right now with the correct information. Include a letter explain why you are resubmitting the form.

Hmmmmmmm.... i dont know wat to do.. can i write them a letter of identifying ma mistake n tell them a sorry n sent them a new ds-230 form?

You could try e-mailing the NVC about the error. I wouldn't submit a new DS-230. The worst that will happen is you would get a RFE to clear up the dates of residence.

I agree with RJP, I wouldn't resend the DS-230. I did this, on a correction to an RFE (they needed an additional document) and they completely ignored the correction I sent (they sent me another RFE instead).

Email is your best bet right now. Remember to put your case number in the subject line of the email and also the beneficiaries name and birthdate in the email. Good luck.

we made a mistake on our I-130 and were adviced not sent anything till they ask us, why? because they can loose the papers. The petition is piled up with many others so it's easy to loose track, only when the time comes to take care of. We didn't sent anything and they didn't ask for the rfe we expected...But, you didn't say what you should have written instead of 2-2005...
