We met on Facebook on February 13, 2001. We started talking because of our musical interests and after getting to know one another on Skype. Neither were looking for a relationship. I had intended to meet a friend from Luxomburg in Rio de Janeiro in 2012 to see a concert but the show was postponed. She canceled her plans. Since I had become best friends with João and really felt like I loved this man I'd only met on Skype, I decided to make the trip. It was the best decision of my life. I made two trips to Rio and realized this man is the love of my life! He proposed at Ipanema Beach on February 21, 2013 and we applied for the visa. He arrived on January 16, 2014 and were married exactly a year after his proposal!! It's been an amazing journey (especially the part AFTER his arrival) and now we are just days from the AOS interview!!! I've never been happier!
