Writing stepparent in the application

Hey everyone,

Got a very weird question that came up all of the sudden.

I just realized that I didn't have to write in my stepparent for the question asking for a parent's citizenship.

My stepmother is naturalized USC, my biological mother is deceased.

I wrote my stepmother in for that question, does this affect the application in any way?

Also, if my dad gets a divorce, will it have any effect on my documents as well?

Thanks!

if neither of your biological parents were USC then you didn't need to write anything there

your stepmom isn't your biological parent

you can correct the form at your interview

Thanks for the speedy answer, and I should've been more clear about my question.

I already had an interview and got recommended for approval, I did mention that it was my stepmom's name to the IO, but he didn't seem to care much about it.

I should've been specific to the IO that I'd like to correct those part, but stupid me :(

I just want to know if putting her name in would affect my application in any way. (Like her name coming up as my mother, and stuff)
