Hello. Can anyone help me on this? I recently applied for NBI Clearance here in Abu Dhabi, UAE for my K1 interview requirements. Do I still need to authenticate it at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in the Philippines and UAE Embassy in the Philippines?  Or NBI Clearance alone is enough? Thank you so much in advance.

As far as I know you need to secure a police certificate  in a foreign country where you have stay for 6 months or more. Also you need to securE NBI clearance in the Philippines..

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Yes, but do I still need to authenticate it at the Department of Foreign affairs and UAE Embassy in the Philippines as well?

Hello, this is iamdegie, changed my username.

No, you don't need to get it authenticated. The green copy issued by the NBI is enough.

i think what you&me means is that your NBI clearance should ideally be less than 6 months old. although it is valid for a year from the date of issue, a lot of people especially those processing in manila says that it needs to be "fresh" by the time of your interview (ie less than 6 months old).
