Hello everyone,

I received a case complete on December 5th, 2017. I am filing for a spouse visa for my husband.

If I am not mistaken, IR1 CR1 visas do not have a priority date.

My question is, if I do not have a priority date, will I be scheduled for an interview before others who do have a priority date? Will others who started their process AFTER me get scheduled an interview appointment before me?

My interview will be in Abu Dhabi- which is currently a 6-8 month wait for an interview appointment.

I would appreciate anyone who can help.

Thank you!

You will be scheduled an interview as soon as an appointment is available. The priority date (or lack thereof) had no bearing on this. Once you have case complete, you go into the line for interview appointments. Non-immigrant interview appointments are handled separately. So a non-immigrant applicant may or may not have an interview before you. But all immigrants are in 1 line.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

I guess so. There are others who have been waiting 7 months since their cc. Abu Dhabi is just super slow. Hoping that others hear from them and things start speeding up soon.

Thank you for ur reply@ZnM. Pray so that we all get interview date soon. But in the email it is written within 3 months they schedule interview.

it says "most" appointments are scheduled within 3 months. but abu dhabi is taking much longer than that. There is nothing we can do but wait.

InshAllah all will go well and everyone will hear from them soon.
