Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC

 

Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third.

Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!

Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.

If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process  That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.

USCIS sent my case on November 22nd to NVC. I just called NVC they said: they has not recieved my case yet. is there anyone on  the same place?

 

I cant wait to get it done. cuz I'm going out of the country on December 11th.

Hi all, our IV & AOS packet was received on Nov. 27. Hoping that the holidays wont cause any delays and we get good news in around 6 weeks!

Just got off the phone with nvc and my case is under review. That was some good news. Been waiting for 5 weeks already.

Just called NVC, they scheduled an interview today for my mom.

It's 1/30/18 at the US Consulate in Naples, Italy (which works out beautifully with her travel schedule - she is visiting the first two weeks of January).

 

SD: 10/6/17

CC: 11/22/17

Interview scheduled: 11/30/17

Interview date: 1/30/18

Well Hello December NVC filers!!!! Checking in , 1st scan date 7/24/17- received checklist for missing birth certificate, 2nd scan date 9/19/17, called 1st week of November to check on status and I got the big surprise of a new scan date  Nov 1st (which I have no idea what this new info they received is since the last thing I sent was in september) so I asked for a supervisor review and was told approx. 6 weeks and off I go with this new scan date of Nov 1st. Hopefully this is our month everyone and we end 2017 with good news of a CC!!!! good luck everyone

Yea i noticed afterwards, i was reading the date wrong lol!! But it’s good u got to know your interview date pretty quick.

My wife sent the IV Package and AOS and they received it in Nov 25th how can I ask for SD and CC now it’s been there for a week

Call to NVC and ask a representative for your SD, besides I don't think that even the case is completed, in the same way the representative will give you the current information of your case!

Thank you for your response and yeah she just called and they said the scan date was today and they said we have to wait for 11 weeks for the CC but hopefully it won’t take that long thank you 🙏🏻
