Length of time to recive visa

I will have interview soon in Manila, if im approved for my fiance visa, how long does it take for me to actually recive it and be able to travel?

No one can say for sure. We have seen one day receipts and over 6 months. If this a normal then your looking a 2 weeks maybe. WARNING Don't buy airline tickets till your visa is in your hands.

You can track status on the CEAC website  there in a link to a website with information in my signature below.

No i have not i did not know about this, when do they let you know you have to complete this? I dont remember seeing this in the instructions or email that was sent to me

CFO is a Philippine requirement, not an embassy requirement.

Ah ok I found on the manila american embassy site that they attatch that information to your approved visa. Do you recomend that I take the course before i get the visa in my hand, or should i wait for that? Thank you for all your help btw

With the K-1 you can do it either way.  If you attend the seminar before getting your visa you will have to go back afterward to get the sticker.     There is CFO info in the link I gave you earlier.   You have to schedule an appt for the seminar.

Thank you for the link ive been reading to prepare and ill see about making a appiontment. Do you know anything about working when im in the US? I know i have to wait to get my work permit, but can i do side jobs while i wait for the permit?Like yard work for people or something like that

No working.   You could do charity or volunteer but after that ... can't work

 

Apply for your employment authorization document the same time as filing AOS .. free to file at that time.

If you are working for a Philippines based or Non USA based company then you can continue to work and draw a paycheck.  You are not supposed to work for a US based company while waiting for EAD

Oh ok im glad i can still do something, thank you  can i teach english to foriegners then?
