Hello good day I'm sam im married now here in USA and filling my AOS we hire somebody to file or prepare our document's so my husband and I decide that I get a job I hospital not so far away from home but the people who prepare my AOS say I'm not allow to work or my filing will be denied .And today I well go to hospital to get my schedules at work so now I don't know what to do.Advice me please.Thank you

You are not allowed to work until you have employment authorization (EAD) or you have the green card in hand. When did you submit the AOS paperwork? Did you submit an I-765 petition along with the I-485?

So when did you submit the AOS package with the I765?  Legally you cannot work until you have either the Employment Authorization Card or Green Card along with a Social Security card.  Do not work under any circumstances, notify your employer and let them know your authorization documents are still pending before you can start working.  Hopefully, they will hold your job until that happens.  If you do work, it can make getting the GC more difficult.

We just send my paperwork yesterday I don't received anything yet.These people who prepare my documents days i well received EAD card after 3 months .

OK, so it will take 90-120 days before you will see the EAD card based on what I have been reading.  Don't work before that.

Really they well really know if ever i work and possible the dinied my application 

just sad about it coz I want to work but not allow.

Working without an EAD is a good way to sabotage your AOS process and get deported.  It doesn't matter what the hospital says to you, they can NOT protect you.  Even if they say you can work, DO NOT.  They don't make the rules.

 

Simply put, don't work till you get your EAD or you could end up regretting it and living with the consequences for the rest of your life.

That is the best course of action.  You do not want to jeopardize the AOS process, or face having to answer difficult questions if you and your spouse are called in for an interview.  I understand the desire to start working and contributing to the marriage/partnership, when my wife came over, she wanted to start working right away, but of course we waited until it was legal for her.  While you are waiting, seek out others from your country that may live near you, maybe explore the area you live, or whatever, re-arrange the house, stuff like that.  I know 90-120 days seems like a long time, but it will fly by.

You can also try expediting your EAD by claiming "hardship" and submitting a job offer. But this will still take time because your paperwork still has to be processed and your biomechanics appointments have to be scheduled. We just did the wait for the EAD and it took about 100 days (we were on the short end of the normal wait time) I know my husband was anxious waiting to work but it all worked out in the end. Definitely do not work before you have EAD/GC though.
