How long after your interview did you receive your visa?

We had our interviews on Thursday last week, issued a 221g form as our medical results weren’t there yet (confirmed with Knightsbridge the results were all signed off and got to the embassy on the same day we interviewed).

Status and case created date changed multiple times on Monday and now it’s been administrative processing since then.

Can anyone let me know how long it took for your AP with the London embassy and how long the delivery of your visa took please?

Mine took a week and one day from interview to having the visa in hand. I seem to remember my timeline being:

Thursday: Interview and approval

Friday: Status changed to 'Approved' online

Friday pm: Status changed to 'Administrative Processing' online

Tuesday: Status changed to 'Issued' online

Then that Thursday, exactly one week after the interview, I had an email saying that it was in transit and was scheduled to arrive the next day - the courier service was spot on and it got there right on time. I never received the text notification that some people got with the tracking number, so just keep an eye on your email in case that's all you get too.

I didn't get a 221g, but it sounds like your issue was rectified very quickly. I don't imagine it would cause you any huge delays, so it should be any day now that you get a notification that the visa is on its way. I'm sure you noticed how friendly the London embassy is though, so I wouldn't be afraid to call them and check if you don't have any news in the net few days.

Thanks for your response! :) I might give them a call next week if there's still no update.

Does the status on CEAC actually change to Approved? I've only had ready, application received and administrative processing so far.

It did, but it literally stayed like that for about an hour. So the chances are that you've missed that update and gone into administrative processing. I know it's pretty much all you can think about right now (I was the exact same way!) but try not to worry about it. Like you said - call next week if there's no news, but until then, just stay positive and be confident that this is a normal way for your case to look. You'll get it soon, I'm sure!

One clue that you are getting close is when your status page no longer says Immigrant and has changed to non-immigrant. The Immigrant visa unit is handling it, but they switch you to non-immigrant (the actual classification) when they are done processing and are ready to send your visa to print.

Im probably being super dumb but when I log in to the CEAC tracker, I select immigrant and then at the top it says non- immigrant visa application. That what it has said since Monday. Is that what you mean? Or should I be looking somewhere else?

@June2017UK I'm in the same boat as @Salty2305, both been in AP since Monday.

I picked for delivery, does that make a difference?

@Salty2305are you awaiting delivery, not depot collection? Just curious.

Yeah same as @Missabc, I selected delivery. I’m in Cornwall so the nearest depot is 2.5 hours away 🙈

TBF, my question is selfish. For me, I anticipate a depot delivery at Chancery Lane (hey, I need to get approved first!), a few miles from the US embassy in London.

I’m asking because you (plural) may expect a delivery from a courier to a smaller town or village. It may take longer than a London depot delivery.

I’m curious if depot deliveries are quicker than home deliveries

Yes. That is one of the changes that happens besides saying AP and Issued.

Congratulations. It happened I see.
