That envelope contains OFFICIAL government records regarding your immigration.  If anyone, other than CBP officers at your POE, open it, it will cause you considerable problems.......maybe even denial of entry to the US.

You should not place it in checked baggage........you should take it with you in a carry-on ........safeguard that package!!!!

thanks for the answer, however you mentioned " OFFICIAL government records regarding your immigration " what the suppose to mean? what official government records mean? it is information the US embassy collected about me from my country, or just information that US ebassy collected when I started the process of the K1 fiance visa.

Could you please be specific?

yes I will safeguard the package, they print that on the back of the envelop, and thank you for the mentioning that.

It has your file that was sent from the USCIS to the NVC and to the consulate or embassy.  It has any notations made by the consular officer and it contains your medical exam.

I think they mostly want the sealed packet so there is no possible way for anyone to tamper with the medical records.  Your medical records are protected by U.S Federal law to be kept private from anyone other than your doctor or immigration officials related to your case.  For example if a police officer approached you during a layover, if they opened your packet without your permission, you will be protected by U.S. Federal Law to not be discriminated against due to what your medical file contains.  Here in the U.S. We have special laws that protect our privacy when it comes to medical information.  For example, an employer can not ask if you have any diseases. You can learn more by googling HIPPA Laws.

ouh ok.

yes I did pass the interview and medical, but after the medical they did not tell me the result of the medical. what I also noticed is that at the embassy they did not check the medical, they just interviewed me.aAgain I even asked the clinic they refuse to tell me the result they said confidential.

so I wanted to know what is contained in the envelop just in case. in addition, if my medical not ok could I have a visa? and if I had a visa and later on the medical showed to be bad will I be denied entry to the US.

again , and sorry missileman, you mentioned the package could contain any information that the officer at the consulate deems appropriate for the officer at the border to have. what possible notation could the consular officer making?

This is immigration and they are not joking!  If you didn't clear medical you would not get your visa.

Exactly this! If you got your visa on hand it means that you have cleared everything!

They don’t want anyone tampering with it, hence the warning on it. Just follow the instructions and you will be able to see what’s inside your envelope when it’s being opened in front of you by the CBP Officer.

My husband was able to see what was in his during his POE.

One suggestion, try not to act too curious or ask to see (or touch) all the documentation meant for the CBP Officer nor speak without being asked a question.  Answer what you are being asked, be polite, don’t joke back but smile at  “his/her” jokes and don’t ask questions that might irritate the Officers. 😅

It's weird they didn't tell you the results. I got a complete copy of my form in an unsealed envelope "for my records". This was done in the US though so perhaps they're more open to showing you the results. Plus, you paid good money for this stupid exam!

I wouldn't worry about it though, you passed your medical. Safe travels and congrats!

I was able to see mine at POE. He opened it in front of me and left it on the counter while he turned around to answer a question from another employee. It contained my complete petition that was sent to USCIS, my medical records and notes made by the interviewer. Note that I didn't touch it but the officer had spread out the contents like Alan on the counter before he was interrupted by the colleague and I could see the pages. The petition had various markings on it and an approval stamp.

I also did not get the results of my medical back. I was told that they would only contact me after the medical if there was a problem. No news is good news. I do have a medical annotation on my visa that I didn't receive all vaccinations because it was not medically appropriate for me to have all of them due to my epilepsy. But this presented no problem at all at POE.
