If you are that concerned why not just go to a doctor or a health department and get tested/treated before your interview?

When I was a nurse in the Emergency Department - they didnt even test people. If that had symptoms or had been exposed, they just gave everyone the meds for everything. Seriously its like 1 shot and 6 pills. It's not a big deal.

The thing is I live in the middle East,if my parents knew I had premarital sex it would be so bad and I can't go alone. We are having an exam for Green card,I am just worried I might have chlamydia although I don't have any symptoms and I had sex only once and that was two years ago. There is no way I have Gonorrhea cuz it disappears from your body.

Why can't you go alone? If you are old enough for a Green Card Exam, you are old enough to go to the doctor on your own. Gonorrhea does NOT disappear from your body. Some pharmacies can give you medications without you seeing a doctor - you can always go ask them to give you the antibiotics just in case. I don't know if you are male or female, but if you are female you likely would have had symptoms by now. Males however can have a latent (no signs) infection for a longer time.

just order a test online for stds and you will know before your medical exam.

This ^.

I had a urinary infection once (not chlamydia) - however the symptoms are very similar. The doctor treated me for it just for the sake of it as someone else mentioned above.

Also, without lecturing: you should probably think with your brain a little more and not so much with what's in your trousers. If you're from the Middle East I'll make the assumption your visa process is already going to be more difficult than others. Also, your health (and the health of whoever you sleep with in the future) is more of a concern than your parents being mad. Imagine you giving a disease/infection to your future spouse because you were too childish to get it taken care of due to being scared of repercussions from your parents...

in before thread is locked.

regardless of gender or age or situation if a person decides to have sex they do so with the knowledge of what the consequences could be. this person is just trying to head off any potential issues.

that said stay away from any job adverts that only have a big black couch in the waiting room. there is no job there.

Interesting to see that VJ also has sexual health advisors.

OP, if you can't visit a doctor due to privacy or safety concerns maybe you can order online tests. If you don't want it to be send to your family home address consider getting it send to someone you trust.
