Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!

Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.

If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process  That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.

Hi everyone! Just a quick question. I received a checklist early this morning for my 2016 tax transcripts pr income tax returns. However I was not required to pay taxes for that year because my income was under the required amount. So with my I-864 I included a letter explaining this, Social Security Statement of Earnings and my Irs Transcript of non-filing. On my coverpage I checked the box that said that I included IRS Tax transcripts because I included the Irs Transcript of non-filing. Was this incorrect? Is the Transcript of non-filing not considered a Tax Transcript? 

 

If it is incorrect do I have to send another coverpage alone?

 

Also my scan date is the 21st of August, does getting a checklist mean that our case is in review already?

Also does this mean that I have to include another copy of my I-864 in the documents I'm sending to them ?

 

Please send the corrected form and documents to NVC. Mailing instructions can be found
on the Case Number Barcode Cover Sheet. Your case is on hold until we receive these
items. Remember to include a photocopy of the Form I-864 for your accompanying applicants.

If you specifically received a checklist for tax transcripts/returns only, then yes they are reviewing already. And that's impressively fast considering your scan date was August 21st.

what does " pr income tax returns" ? they wanted something besides the transcripts? I thought the transcripts covered everything.

First scan date 1st may 2017 , I got a checklist of police report certificate so second scan date Aug 24th 2017 and cc on Aug 1st wow it's miracle

Im glad its going by so quickly. I was shocked to see an email from them so soon. I sent my case to supervisor review on the advice of the agent at nvc so hopefully that doesn't hold it back.

Im sorry. That was a typo it was supposed to be or. Sorry but I dont see the option to edit it anymore.

They seem to be moving quick, unless it's an expedite/country process. I hope they are speeding up so they can schedule our interviews faster.

What determines if you need to prove domicile?

My husband is spending most of his time with me but still goes back home every month for a few days and has bills and his apartment back in the States.
