Hi I've applied for a K1 visa and a K2 visa for my 6 year old son.

Can anyone tell me what questions he can expect at the London embassy or if he even needs to attend?

Do I also need to take a specific documents for him other than passport, etc.

Ask the embassy because each one is different.  Some only require 14 year old or older.  When my wife went, we took her 2 daughters (4 and 6).  The CO asked the 6 year old one question if she was happy/excited to come to America.

Also all my 10 year old was asked at the interview and it was really just with a big smile on the face and then the question. He was shy and kind of hide at the time and there was no issues with that.

You K-2 will also need a medical and the DS-160 + all the fees connected to all of this.

The K-2 needs the passport but also a notarized letter from the father stating that you are allowed to take him permanently out of the country to live in the US.

Arcording to the US embassy webpage here:

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/the-interview/

All applicants are required to show up also children so that should also mean your K-2 have to be there.

Thank you for your help! I have our custody agreement that states my son is going to live permanently in the US with me and will return for a few weeks a year to see his dad so that should cover the letter requirement :)

Perfect :) Then you should be good to go.

Also for the AOS (I know thats a long time from now but you might as well be prepared. The childs AOS fee will be lowered if filed at the same time as you it will also be easier with the documents and also for when it's time to ROC. Also apply for EAD/AP for the child as the child can not get a SSN number before they have the EAD. You can get it right away when you land on your K-1 visa but K-2 will have to wait :)

Fingers crossed it is soon, we are only on day 37 (I think lol) they seem to be getting approved around that many days. I'd be interested to hear how your experience goes with the medical and interview with the children too 😊

I'll definitely report back after the interview as I haven't seen much info on here about k2 visas in general!

I look forward to it! I've found the same, it's hard to find much to do with K2s as lots seem to do it with the "follow on" too

Thank you so much! Do the children get separate case numbers from NVC?
